We have the hall until 9pm on Saturday and 8pm on Sunday, we'll have plenty of time to finish.

If you live in the LA area or are staying outside of downtown you may want to consider the metro. I live in Pasadena and am on the fence about just taking the Metro down. The light rail in LA while sparce does do the trick from certain areas.

This could influence your army choice though, I know if I take the metro I will be playing my Loganwing because it fits in one case and in my backpack!

I just moved to Pasadena last week AND just saw how close this tourney is. I'm going to try to get my army painted up in time but its going to be tight! I haven't seen anything about it being full, did I miss it or are there still spots available?

We still have space, and your army only has to be a to a three color minimum. Primer counts as a color.

Hope you can make it!

Wait a second. There's public transportation in Los Angeles?

Are you sure?

There is! And it works well, too.

Latest Update!

Jesse, the overall Games organizer for Comikaze, managed to get us EARLY REGISTRATION! We are to meet in the Ticket lobby of the convention hall at 8am.

Be there or be stuck in line and hold everyone up!

Spread the word please everyone, I know this is last minute and a bit hectic, but we will do everything we can to make sure this goes as smoothly as possible.

Reece

"Is there any thoughts on Necrons?"

Only that this will be our last chance to point and snicker at the poor Cron player or 2...as we anticipate the next major event being jammed with GKs and Crons.
Then we can snicker and point to the silly Tau player; for awhile.

Life isn't fair. But wouldn't it be worse if Life were fair, and all of the really terrible things that happen to us were because we deserved them?

We just set up, this thing is going to be crazy! 25,000 players and a cosplay competition next to the 40k event, so girls in skimpy outfits will make for nice window dressing! It will be a little chaotic, but it will be a blast and a very unique 40k event, we're pumped!

See you guys tomorrow.

I mean 25,000 people there, not players! Haha

I like to be optimistic, but it seems highly unlikely that everyone will get there by 8am to get in early...so are you just going to start at the scheduled time and basically refund the money to anyone who isn't able to get in there on time?

I'm curious to see how well this all shakes out given the crazy circumstances.

It is going to be very hectic, no doubt. We are going to try and start at 9 if at all possible. What will happen, I can't say with certainty to be totally honest. A lot of this will be on the fly. I wish I could give you more definite answers, but I can't. Either way, we'll make sure it's a fun event.

Definitely a unique event! We're surrounded by Cosplayers and pop culture fans of all sorts.

Stan Lee came in to a hero's welcome and we've seen Porn Stars, Movie Stars, Writers and weirdos of all sizes and types!

Ernest Borgnine came up and asked us what we were selling.... ahaha, didn't really get it but still good to meet him.

Yakface drew against Warboss Russ first round.

Janthkin beat Skrewpa, Dave Fay won his battle against Purifier Grey Knights, ChristianA beat Libby's wolves. Blackmoor lost a tough game to Fuegan17, Stave Stiff lost to Blasto's Orks. Nick the Wise lost his game to DoA/Mech blood angels.

We ended up with 26 players, less than we assumed we'd get, but we lost a number last minute because things were so hectic.

The event is a bit crazy and less organized on the administrative end than we'd like to see, but it was a first year project and huge in scope. The tournament itself is running smoothly though and Reecius pulled some strings to get it started as early as possible.

The field is smaller than anticipated, but 90% solid players with a lot of stand outs. It's going to be a tough road to the top! Everyone is having a good time and we anticipate seeing who the winner will be.

1750 seems perfect for the time limit. Most of my games are finishing, but I don't know if that is because of the high calibre of players, or the switch in my own army comp for speed play.

Hey, just wanted to say a HUGE thanks to Reece and the crew for throwing a great event! It was like playing a GT in the middle of Comic-con... totally nuts!

Had 5 great games, thanks so much to all my opponents. The prize support was amazing, tons of us walked out of there with loot. Congrats to all the winners!

Terrible rules-writing no doubt, but given that you basically can't play it RAW in any kind of sensible way lets you know that it can't be right.

Hmm, I was there both days, I should've come by to at least observe, even if I don't play. Glad to hear it went well! The con itself was crazy. I've never been to one before, and I didn't think it would be this big, especially considering it was the first Comikaze ever.

Thanks for coming guys, we really appreciate it! We had a blast and it was worth all the work and long trip.

The Comikaze team wants us running all of their Table Top Gaming Events, going forward, so hopefully this will be the first of many.

Congratz to ChristianA who managed to win another tournament with his IG, seizing the initiative 3 games in a row! Wow! It was his birthday, so it must have been birthday luck...or loaded dice
