Dunno if this really belongs but the metal band Manowar has a new album out, Gods of War and it may be their best yet.  Their music is always about vikings and pillaging and general mayhem.  This one is all about norse myth, they ahve a song about Odin's horse, and it is awesome!

Heavy Metal songs about vikings is all well and good, but it isn't a classic and lamented unsupported gem of a game.

At first, I was hoping for a revisitng of GW's Man 'o War (one of their best ever).

But this is nice, too. Cheaper via iTunes, yes, but their music is actually complex enough that mp3 encoding degrades it a bit.

This is what I get for my "Skimmer Errata" thread.

Can't believe more gamers don't know about Manowar. I can't think of any music more cheesily perfect for gaming.

Too bad this wasn't about the game. First time around, all my cash was tied up in 40K and WFB.

Wouldn't mind seeing a re-release, and support. Space Hulk too...

HEAVY METAL!

 

great band, great album and avery cool idea.

its a themed album about norse mythology, a very fine addition to a long and incredible musical career.

writing the entire album book in runes was a nice touch as well.

 

 

manOwar is a band that is bombastic, over the top and one of those bands that you either love or hate, they live what they preach, are good to thier fans and never sell out to fit into any mainstream stereotype.

although i do have the urge to watch conan after listening to them. makes for great 40K music.

S'not my fault you can't tell the difference between Manowar and Man O War.

No, I just emailed them a few threads from the OTzone.

I too saw Manowar and thought Man O' War (the game).  But then I saw it was one of Kyotos wonderful threads and thought, "Heh.  I bet that's about something other than the game called Man O' War..."
