In my Warhound post I mentioned by Celestial Lions. When I took pics of my Warhound I went ahead and snapped a few pictures of random marines from my Celestial Lions chapter:

I like the weathering and details, but I thought the celestial lions were gold armor with blue shoulder pads?

Indeed the original Chapter did. My fluff is after their chapter was nearly destroyed, they changed their armour to white to mourn their fallen. I also do an Apoth theme in my army to represent the heavy use now (As compared to before when their gene seed was nearly wiped).

Amazing job on the white. The high lights on the plasma guns really bring them to life and as said wonderful weather effects and the damage looks very realistic. Cant wait till you get that arm to finish your titan as well it looks awesome.

My only criticism and I'm sure its the camera is the guy without his helmet his head looks really funny kind of 'cheesy grin' since.

Heh, yeah I didn't notice but it's camera angle...it's cutting off the rest of his grill.

Hah, maybe it's a Banshee? West Side Story in Space...Marines and Eldar having dance offs. Hey if The Last Sentinel got funding....

"Brothers! Show them what it means to be a Celestial Lion!"
**snap-snap-twirl-snap!**

I adore the mental image you have spawned in my mind. Thank you sir!

Now I am going to have to spend the next 20 minutes trying to decide on the easiest method of sneaking a marine snaping his fingers and wearing tap shoes into my army...

Perhaps a company champion...

Great looking force though. I am going to be peering at them intently for tricks to use on my Paterno's Lions Terminators.
Really, they should hang out sometime.

Forgive the necromancy but I didn't want to upload the originals again. I had promised to provide a full chapter shot and thought I would add a few to my original thread. Here goes:

That is one very good-looking chapter.

Your choice of a new color scheme is not only well-ustified in terms of fluff, it's a way more tasteful scheme. Good work.

Will these be at any of this season's GTs?

Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!

Depending on work/school. I might have to wait until next year to start making GT rounds. Thanks for the comments, I think the new color scheme is a bit easier on the eyes than the blue/gold.

I thought the marines were good looking, above average. The weathering really helps with the white color scheme, as otherwise it just doesn't seem right.

However, after seeing them on your table... I am impressed. They manange to fit in perfectly with your rubbled cities, where their dirt blends right in. It makes the white and blue plasma really stand out, and would be the first time I'm ever been really excited about the look of a space marine chapter. As an aside, I think the white shoulder pad on your Chap looks much better than any black templar model I've seen (being the primary source of white/black contrast)!

*stars shine in his eyes at the awesomness of the paint job and drools over the terrain* Hope to be able to paint that good someday and to game on a table like that would just inspire me to write stories of the battles that ensue across the universe. Wish I could find someone locally to help teach me some of the tricks of painting and washing models, kinda jittery about doing it. Massive on the work though, cant wait to see more.

That terrain is lovely! The bridge is really a great touch too; I am going to have to steal that idea. All in all, you are truly a modeler to be admired.

I really love the dirt and weathering you've done on these guys. Especially on the vehicles.

Thanks for all the kind words guys. The first time I battle damaged a tank, I was a bit concerned. Nothing like ruining a good paint job/model just to test something I love cityfight, so I planned my fluff/paint scheme around a chapter fighting it out in a hive city. They really pop on that style of terrain

As soon as my buddy finished his Orks, we plan on doing battle reports on that board. I'll have to take some pics of my cityfight terrain.
