This is based on the North American Black and Yellow Argiope. You can Google it to see how close I got to the real thing. Oh...and I finally painted something...lol

It might not be intentional and if it is its very subtle, but in the second photo it looks like there is a skull painted on the back. The yellow came out really nice. Did you do lines of white before putting on the yellow?

I picked up a technique from a Friend (ForsakenZen) to base black and dry brush white before panting. With the spider I dry brushed white until it looked like I black lined it. Lots of white. Then I inked black the legs, a 50/50 snake bite water ink was done on the mandibles and mid leg section when dry I hit them again with a 50/50 red ink water mix then highlighted with a 50/50 snake bite yellow mix. The yellow was done in two coats of yellow 60/40-paint water then 80/20-paint water and the black was done in choas black 1 coat over the white dry brush using a #1 brush. Next back to the legs I painted (highlighted) the legs with shadow gray and a very thin line of space wolves gray. Anyway more then you asked for lol thanks for digging it and the nice comments,

I hate you, really. I have enough problems keeping myself from starting yet more new armies, and here you paint this spider up all cool like. I have Battle for Skull Pass! I got it for the rules. Stop making me want to use that as an excuse to start a goblin army ya lously bum!

I cannot believe how real that thing looks. It looks like and actual spider.
