Dude, the ideas you mentioned have already been mentioned! Try reading the previous posts in a thread before posting yourself, usually helps! ^^

Don't bother getting too annoyed, DLS. That's the way the Background threads go. Might I suggest compiling your timeline into an article?

Well, you can keep updating here. I'd also suggest ending your posts with a copypasta message reading "Questions and comments welcome but PLEASE READ PREVIOUS POSTS FIRST! Thanks!" Afterwards, I'd ignore whatever comes in that's already been dealt with in past posts.

That was the solution in Dawn of War: Dark Crusade, but the problem is that it takes a lot to go into the temple and destroy it. And I can't fathom why Tyranids would, unless guided by an outside force, due to the lack of bio-material.
Also, as for the absorbing of Necrodermis, did not see that coming. Definitely a twist.

Phase out doesn't always work. Or you could quickly pop the dying (is that the right word for a machine?) Necron into stasis.

Actually, the reason Necron dead are left in this instance is the Void Dragon himself. The old Dragon is quite frankly barking, he is utterly insane by human standards, and his being imprisoned for the past few centuries hasn't helped.
Leaving his minions bodies on the world is literaly an oversight on his part. He is so enthralled with his new experiments that he is prone to forgetfullness, he literally cares so little about anything other than his work that he is becoming his own undoing

The Demiurg are an ally of the Tau whom are most likely the descendents of the Squats (in my timeline, they definately are)
And the Kriin are my own creation: self-sustaining sentient nano-bots created by the Demiurg in order to defend against the Tyranids.
Again, reading previous posts helps ^^ (wow Manchu, you're right, this DOES get tedious) :p

Hey, i have read some of the posts and i would very much like to add my own bit to this great topic. On another site i posted the startings of a story that revolves around this and i will post the break down of what i think and would like to happen.
Cypher for years has been trying to get to the golden throne, some how he manages to penetrate the throne room undetected. using the sword the Lion sword, he "kills" the Emperor.
The Emperor is reborn, a god, his already fearsome and immsensely powerful powers are now enhanced by his worship. The light of the astronomican now burns with a much greater intensity, all warp storms disappear. Warp travel is safer, with no instances of demonic incursions reported. Psykers powers are much more powerful and easier to control.
The entire legio custodes rush to the throne room, as warning klaxons sound, Constantine Valdor and the Emperor talk, the throne room is locked down.
The Emperor goes to Macragge and heals Guilliman, who is then ordered to rebuild the Imperium and legions.
On the planet of sorcerors, Russ and Magnus duel, Magnus then gets the better of Russ and shows him how Horus betrayed him. The Emperor shows up and after a talk both Russ anf Magnus return to Terra. Magnus's demonic "gifts" are gotten rid of, his loyalty is assured. Tzeentch curses Magnus and his wrath destroys the planet of sorcerors
On Fulgrim's demon world Corax and a group of were geld infiltrate his palace, the two primarchs duel, the loyal fragment of Fulgrim prevails and the demon is destroyed. Slaanesh wails at the loss of his favoured champion. Corax tries to kill Fulgrim but once again the Emperor shows up and with ulgrim being forgiven the pair head back to Terra. On Nocturne, He'Stan uncovers the final artifact that Vulkan left behind, a volcano eruptes and a tomb is uncovered. trapped in stasis the Primarch Vulkan is discovered. On the Rock, Luther is again interregated, he raves on about the returning of the Emperor and the Lion and how only they can forgive him. The Lion shortly returns, walking proudly from the Tower of Angels. Jaghatai Khan escapes his Dark Eldar prison, he goes on a rampage killing hundreds of dark eldar before escaping the webway and appearing on a planet that the white scares are assaulting. On Baal at the tomb of Sanguinius, the Emperor arrives and resurrects him. On Mars at the location of the Void Dragon Ferrus Manus begins to assault the dragon, claiming that he had killed the dragons child(the wyrm) and that'd he destroy its master. How ever even the started c'tan is more than a match for Ferrus, how ever once agin the Emperor arrives and both destroy the Void Dragon. ars then recognise the Emperor and Omnissiah as one.
Basically from there, the eldar's god return etc, chaos unite, orks fight alot, the Tau begin to expand, more Tyranids show up.
Hope thats okay.

Hey man ^^ as I've said before, this is just my ideas of what I think is cool. At no point do I honestly think that things will go this way or GW will hurry up and give me a goddamn job :p But yeah, if you have your own ideas then sweet! I love what people'll think will happen in 40K, cause that's the true beauty of 40K. Just read your points and heeeere's what I think :p
Tormented wrote: Cypher for years has been trying to get to the golden throne, some how he manages to penetrate the throne room undetected. using the sword the Lion sword, he "kills" the Emperor.
I've never been a huge fan of the Cypher kills the Emperor theme. I mean Cypher is awesome, and I love the DA, but I don't think that's what he's after. I believe he doesn't know what he's after. He's like a pawn with no clue who his controller is. In my possible future, he's started stalking the Lion himself in some nefarious purpose ^^
Tormented wrote: The Emperor is reborn, a god, his already fearsome and immsensely powerful powers are now enhanced by his worship. Now I love the Star Child theory (sometimes I think I'm the only one who does :p) however I don't think it'd be a *BAM!* I'm the Emproar God and everything is better. I think he'd become a warp entity, and things would definately get far worse before they got better. I think he would no longer be of the physical world ^^
Tormented wrote: The Emperor goes to Macragge and heals Guilliman, who is then ordered to rebuild the Imperium and legions.
Old Rowboat does indeed come back in my possible future as well, but I doubt the Emperor would 'revive' his lost sons as such.
Tormented wrote:On the planet of sorcerors, Russ and Magnus duel, Magnus then gets the better of Russ and shows him how Horus betrayed him. Tzeentch curses Magnus and his wrath destroys the planet of sorcerors.
Hold your horses there spanky where has Russ been? Why is he fighting Magnus again? I do admit, I think if it really came down to it, Magnus would admit he still loves his Father and deeply regrets turning from him. But why would he and Russ need the Emperor there to show them waht the both already know. And the fact that the Horus Heresy was indeed called the HORUS Heresy, I suspect Russ may have had an inkling of who betrayed whom

I think you're rounding up all the Primarchs again in a sort of 'Super Friends' scenario. Indeed, many of the Primarchs I suspect will return when the Emperor passes away, but this sudden turning of the Daemon-Primarchs is sudden. If Fulgrim was ever to regain control, he'd no doubt be barking mad, having spent millenia watching himself give into the most heinous of perversions. Plus, this 'The Emperor shows up' is a bit of a ye' olde Plot Device of Ultimate Destruction.
Tormented wrote:On Nocturne, He'Stan uncovers the final artifact that Vulkan left behind, a volcano eruptes and a tomb is uncovered. trapped in stasis the Primarch Vulkan is discovered. The Lion shortly returns, walking proudly from the Tower of Angels.
More Primarch's returning, which is cool, but slightly cliched. I do believe the Lion will return and forgive Luther. As for Vulkan, I don't think he's as dead as everyone thinks. And surely the quest for his lost artifacts will be much harder than simply "Oh, he was here all along"
Tormented wrote:On Baal at the tomb of Sanguinius, the Emperor arrives and resurrects him.
Umn, I hate to be a gakker, but I don't think so. Sanguinius is pretty much dead, and I don't think the Emperor would ressurect him. Where would the Blood Angels most interesting attributes (their rage and bloodlust) go if Pretty-Boy came back?
Tormented wrote:On Mars at the location of the Void Dragon Ferrus Manus begins to assault the dragon, claiming that he had killed the dragons child(the wyrm) and that'd he destroy its master. How ever even the started c'tan is more than a match for Ferrus, how ever once agin the Emperor arrives and both destroy the Void Dragon. Mars then recognise the Emperor and Omnissiah as one.
Again, Ferrus is genuinely dead (the whole not having a head thing being severaly detramental to his ability to function) and the HH novel Mechanicum establishes that the Emperor is not the Omnissiah, and neither is the Void Dragon, but their relationship to one another is where the Omnissiah is spawned from.
As I said, ignore me, I'm not the end all and be all of fluff (although sometimes I wish I was, lol) but I do prefer slightly more real fluff as opposed to IMPERIUM WINS! CHAOS WINS! etc etc.

Aye it is all a big cliche and most of the evidence for the primarchs being returned is ambiguous at best Sangy's body is in stasis i believe on Baal. And what i have said is a brief summary of what i think should happen
Well, i have read on other sites that it was not entirely sure if Ferrus was dead and that it was his head Fulgrim gave Horus, like i said very ambiguous. I am a big lover of the loyal primarchs and my story that this is all based around was of them returning and a great climactic war.
I thought the Emperor was the Omnissiah? Didnt he like tell a machine to "repair theyself" it did and the fabricator was like "woah" kinda thing?
