They are 99% finished.

I forgot to bring my enchanted blue/icy blue to finish up their optics and pulse rifle view finders.

Will finish them when I am back in the states..

Heres a glimpse of what they look like now though

I like it dude.

Looks alot like my tau, the red looks really good in my opinion. Solid scheme. I'd look at adding a bit more colour to the bases though, perhaps snow? Just to break up the pure grey

Great looking tau. I always thought a gray scheme looked good on these guys, ready for urban warfare. I like the suggestion to put snow on the bases too. Always feels good to get the basic troops done, now get those boys a devilfish painted!

Thanks for the positive comments.

As for adding snow, my basing theme was a lunar surface.

It's hard to tell from the pics, but there are shades of light blue/grey in the lunar rock.

You can see some of the other guys here:

Everything looks great so far.

My only crit would be the firewarrior weapons. The red on top and bottom gives a disjointed look to it. Sort of throws me off. But that might be a taste thing.

Nope, cause the left one is a Hammerhead.

Beautiful scheme, great work.

I really like those battlesuits. The super-clean execution gives them almost a cell-shaded animation look, which I think suits Tau perfectly.

Lovely stuff!

I'm really digging the scheme, looks great on individual models as well as larger groups. Also, excellent work on the shoulders on that rightmost crisis suit, the line work is needle fine. I look forward to seeing more as you add to your force!

Pretty damned nice. My only complain is that the base colour is too close to the colour of the rest of the models. It's important to have a complimentary base, but it's also nice to have a base that acts like a frame, causing the model itself to stand out more. As someone said, a little snow might be nice, or some dead grass. Anything to break up the uniform grey that is otherwise presented.

Very nicely done, when I envision Tau, this is a scheme that I think of, very well executed!
