Hi all, i've been lurking for a while and it's about time I showed some stuff.

Just knocked these out today and thought someone could be interested.?.?.?
They need cleaning up a bit before paint but you get the idea.
Pretty simple but it will do for tabletop (like most of my stuff)!

P.S A big thankyou to everyone who contributes, you have been inspirations.

nice, those spares come in handy sometimes. I managed to make a trukk from spares and a blister pack once, and it actually looked pretty good! Most of my spare bit creations don't make it to a painting stage, but this played in a tourney! Keep up the good work

Wow, the pics actually appeared on the computer and I got a reply and everything (thanks covenant!). Witchcraft I tell you. I'm awful with computers but that was relatively painless. Should have done this a loooong time ago.

Back when the new fex came out, I ordered an extra body sprue, there were more than enough bitz to make 2 fexes that way for much cheaper than buying to whole boxes

can't do it now though :(

Looks cool but what is the torso made of?

The torso is just the tyranid warrior barbed strangler body/'stock' pushed up into the carapace full of milliput. these guys have been based and primed since posting and i'm hoping to have them and a few leaping warriors done by tomorrow. Got some time on my hands this weekend!

Give it a go, I assume the bridge you are making is for Cities Of Death. You can never have enough biovores for COD.

Ok so here we are as promised the finished Biovores.
Dont think they turned out too bad, it's amazing what a bit of paint and a base can
do for pretty shonky modelling.

The flesh colour is somewhat different to that of the original above but is quicker
to paint and i've still got a few bits to go until I can put this army down for a bit.
C@C welcome.

That's quite clever.

I hate the Biovore model (at least its better than the last one), but this is a neat idea. I've tons of spare Carnifex bits laying around.

Ditto, 'cept I ordered 3. Wish they'd still let you do that... actually, scratch that. I wish they'd still let you order bits. Period.

Cheers for the points CplPunishment can i spend
those in at GW online? I need to recoup some losses.

It's just that I screwed up an order by ordering a
bag of 60mm bases assuming that they would be
as above but larger ie.beveled edges. Little did I
know they would be the ever so useful flat, titan
bases.

Can you buy the good 60mm bases on the online store?
Nope! thanks GW
If you spend £4 on a mixed base bag you get one 60mm
not cost effective methinks.

Now my hive tyrant looks angry!

I tried this last night with some of my extra bitz. My model came out...ok. What head did you use? I thought it was a warrior head but it looked too small compared to the body. Used a Genestealer head.
In the end mine looks like a mortar Tyranid or something and I'm okay with that because I don't like the biovore model either and I didn't want to pay for a moedel I do not like.

Damn I agree with that so much its crazy. I love how they said they did it because of losing money. I think that was a crock. Id spend WAY more money on bits then actual minis, I know they were making a killing off of me, and Im cheap. I know there were others that would drown me in the money they spent on bits.

OP, I have to say I think your biovores look better then the GW ones, and they are cheap! Nice job, Ill have to remember that if my wife keeps playing nids (shes in love with the DE pics lol So its either way now)
