I mean, why bother going for the "iconic", yet unrealistic look, if you're going to mess it up by holding it in a non-iconic stance. If they were going to go that direction and throw realism out the window, they should have just gone all the way and had him hold like the iconic Grim Reaper.

imo.

That is a good point actually They've kept a working scythe for the Grim Reaper look, but made him look like an evil farmer in the pose

Here's the issue with that: The Grim Reaper was originally depicted with a proper accurate farming scythe, hence the name.

It wasn't(and isn't supposed to be) a weapon, it was symbolic of his job to reap souls like you reap wheat.

The "iconic" Grim Reaper pose tends to be him holding it in a relaxed pose or on his shoulder.

Here's an old one of him using it:

In art, I've seen as many depictions with the handles as without.

Knights look awesome. Seems FW has decided that the plastic kit is the Questorus pattern, and their kits are Cerastus pattern. Makes sense. I was going to pick up a lancer, but I'll wait and grab these two instead.

Magos on Abeyant is impressive, but I'd like some Magos options that don't look like they are out of the Matrix. A couple of generic magos/archmagos to represent the different types in book 3 would be nice, with weapons/wargear they can swap between them.

That Triaros...epic! Makes me think of the batmobile in Batman TAS. Now to decide between 3 or 4 of them.

Interesting. I still would have preferred if they'd just given the man a look that more acurrately matched his established fluff appearances, but, what can you say.

DEM KNIGHTS.

Also, the Mechanicus stuff.

Very tempted to sell off a bunch of my armies and shovel the funds into an AdMech/Knights force.

I think the Magos there is Satarael, the special character in book 3 who is also a monstrous creature. He just looks a bit too big to be any standard Magi. Not to mentio FW already has a Magos on abeyant model.

Will have to go find my copy and check if the wargear of the model checks out as Satarael's.

Yep, right there with you. Very Art Deco! Sort of like a cross between between an Art Deco train and something from the film Dune...

Interestingly, it has conventional armour, rather than just the energy shielding of the considerably more skeletal Krios next to it. Maybe it sacrifices bulky generators for it's rather large transport capacity.

It's very much something that looks like 95% of early GW art.

I am a bit disappointed that FW seems to concentrate on making variants of the Knight Lancer instead making conversion parts for the plastic Knight kit.

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

I guess you never see the Grim Reaper with an actual scythe fitted with t he agricultural type grips.

And it's NEVER been shown to be used as an (admittedly, awkward and needing a LOT of practice and training) actual weapon with the grips on it.

I think the hullabaloo over the agricultural grips on the scythe is getting way overblown.

The Imperial Army miniatures are void war specialists (according to someone on B & C).

That explains the kinda steampunk diver suit look.

We are indeed.

Forge World mentioned awhile back that we weren't going to see "generic Imperial Army" miniatures(apparently it was the same reason we didn't see Hobgoblins for the Chaos Dwarfs: They would be far too expensive to keep the molds maintained and out of reach of most players, financially), but rather we would see more "specialized" stuff with a different aesthetic to the current Guard models but that would not look entirely out of place.

Yes.

In the next HH book, apparently.

Solar Auxilia or somesuch ..?

Been told these images are for the new kits and not from an existing HH book.

If they are from an already released book holler and we'll remove them.
