It is a bit confusing, though. The trench weapons and groin armor plates are available in resin. And the squad has this blurb to further muddy the waters:
Late 2013 a resin version of this squad will also be available.

And Vic hasn't responded to my e-mail asking for clarification. Oh well, I was hoping someone on here could confirm if the heads were resin yet.

I think the metal stock needs to vanish first before they make a full switch to resin.

Yeah, you are likely correct.

I like them, they just don't fit in with my army. I'd love to use them as conscripts, but that's what the penal troops will be in the not so distant future.

Love those heavy weapons and the new regular weapons. Everything seems to be coming together once the arms are ready for the male and female Arcadians.

After all, every IG player should have at least two IG armies right?

Humor me...especially once the Tannenburger ladies are ready too because I'll probably add a third type of IG regiment then. I already have one male squad. What's another three or five?

The secret to painting a really big army is to keep at it. You can't reach your destination if you never take any steps.

I build IG...lots and lots of IG.

I have Steel Legion and Vostroyans backing up my Praetorians! Not counting the Broolians, of course. I am using those with Tannenburg torsos and arms to make Praetorian beastmen.

Not resin yet. Want to do the Rangers first.

Like the old IG heavy weapon kits in the future?

Rubber tyres at about the same size as the current (large) wheel MIGHT be adaptable from the Taurox wheels or the ones I've done for my halftrack. That said, if you wanted them like the smaller wheels listed on another post (so more like the QF 6lb wheels that you mention) it's an entirely new sculpt that would take a good bit of time to do as if I shrink down the existing ones that far, the tread is no longer visible, etc etc.

You know how it is, nothing is ever as easy as simply inputting new total dimensions and going from there.

Also, it would be up to Victoria, dunno if demand would be there for it.

Nah! I don't think this artillery piece uses 57mm ammunition. it rather uses 25mm short cartridge so the reciol is controllable meow~

I think that these are more on the right track- also fits with the general Commonwealth theme to a lot of the weapons and Regiments so far.
Probably would be a good idea to avoid calibres though, especially seeing as we are not sure of the barrel diameter.
The weapon carriages look great, are we likely to see an autocannon version too? I would love to see mortars and heavier artillery as well, but I guess that will have to wait to see what demand is like.

1. 57mm is antitank/anti aircraft ordnance. while the weapon in question serves the function of Heavybolter/Heavy MG/ Light antiaircraft equipment
2. If Victoria miniatures were made in heroic scale. 25mm 'machine gun' is best portrayed this way. also this weapon is seen mounted on bow mount of Vic Matilda tank.

^ Something that might be close to the actual Heavy Bolter rounds of the far future

Well Vic already has the V.E.R.A (Vicker's .88 Repeater Autocannon)

So what about the Vickers Carriage Heavy Cannon "Line-smasher"?

V.C.H.C Line-smasher.

Also the weapon packs are up in the store now. Plasma guns/sniper rifles/etc.

I would rather save that name for a gun that actually had the Vickers barrel, like a larger version of the V.E.R.A. Maybe change it to Enfield carriage heavy cannon?

I assumed it was called the Vickers because Vic's name is Victoria, rather then it being a genuine Vickers firearm.

I could well be wrong here though.

^ most of it were made after the old Imperium Britania. except... Arcadians.. and custodians... which are 2nd edition cadian remade (and the helmet shape looks very German).

Vickers were actually a brand of firearms and military hardwares that serves both the British Empire and beyond... including the old Siam.
http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=194514
^ (British) Vickers, and (American) Browning water-cooled HMG were both purchased by Siam. not being ruled over by any European powers mean that the nation may buy guns from anyone... usually the cheapest bidders / the best performers.

^ This tankette... the first tracked armored vehicles Siamese ever purchased, (the medium rhomboid tanks were beyond our reach.. and possibly too expensive and too complex to maintain), armed with only vickers HMG (or sometimes Antitank rifle or newer air-cooled MGs) . saw action against French Indochina colonial forces in 1941 (and it was proven to be a sucka... easily destroyed even by french 25mm Antitank cannon) http://www.tanks-encyclopedia.com/ww2/gb/Carden-Loyd_MkVI.php

^ Vickers 6 ton... exports only. Many nations bought these vehicles in large numbers. some were direct clients (Siam, Poland, China, and certain south american nations). This vehicle helped propelled The People’s Party (คณะราษฎร) into its power (and maintain its hold for 15 years! from 24th June 1932 to 1947) and saw action twice.. first repelled the reactionary rebellion of 1933 led by royalists, and second.. against Francaise Indochine in 1941.
yet some industrial nations bought these to reverse engineer it... (Italy, USSR, Japan, Poland, and Czechoslovakia... possible reverse engineering clients may be the United States too! since most of their tanks in WW2 were more or less modelled after (or resembling) Vickers 6 tons)

Vickers 6-ton AA variants, mounted the 40mm water cooled antiaircraft gun on open chassis, by the time of its release (1930s) this thing is quite advanced and I don't know of someone else had this too!

These were products of Vickers.

Yup, although the most famous Vickers weapon was the .303 calibre water cooled Vickers MMG, which appears to be the direct inspiration of the V.E.R.A (same distinctive barrel shroud).
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vickers_machine_gun
My favourite fact about the Vickers gun: "The weapon had a reputation for great solidity and reliability. Ian V. Hogg, in Weapons & War Machines, describes an action that took place in August 1916, during which the British Army's 100th Company of the Machine Gun Corps fired their ten Vickers guns continuously for twelve hours. Using 100 new barrels, they fired a million rounds without a single failure"
TBH, I would love a larger, tripod mounted version of the V.E.R.A, to use instead of heavy bolters.

Not bad, although it comes with the crew and has a leather barrel cover which I personally don't like.
