So, I'm not that good at modelling, yet. However, I'm an ok artist, and have the following idea for either Fiends or Seekers of Slaanesh:

What could I kitbash these out of (preferrably into both rearing and four-legged poses) ?

Are hive tyrant arms going to be small enough? Keep in mind the body is supposed to be human...

I'd start with the current plastic Daemonette models.

I think the Escher Ganger/Gaunt idea is the best looking but the Daemonettes would be easier to work with because of all plastic. Depends on how good you are with conversions. Also Hive tyrant arms are way to big for human sized models.

I'd suggest maybe uhm... demonettes and whatever has some appropriate looking blades/mechanisms.

Any fluff for these?
You're probably best off using Deamonette bodies and 'gaunt blade arms, I think.

darksword, the appearence of a daemon is endless mate, it can take pretty much any shape or form.

as suggested, daemonettes with gaunt talons, or if you want them a little bigger i would go with warrior talons, if they need to be smaller then stealer talons, but they are a little thicker.

Suffused with the dying memories of Sanguinus, the warriors of the Death Company seek only one thing: death in battle fighting against the enemies of the Emperor.

hrm. The Genestealer talons look about right, but I'll need to mould mechanical joints around the wrists and shoulders.

Dunno what to do for the back legs, and I have no idea how I'm going to resculpt the daemonettes' butts and thighs into a sitting position.

i love the blades idea. dunno if they still have the unit, but in fantasy high elves had that unit of great swords. thatd be alot of decent sized swords for the legs. or you could get some plasticard and make the swords, or better yet some GS and make a perfect fit sword, and then mold a bunch of them off of it.
those are gunna be awesome when you get them done. good luck

I wouldnt kitbash with nid parts. You dont win much and you risk ending up with a nid-looking demon instead of your very interesting unique looking sketch. Id use the plastic daemonette and scratch build the arms/legs from plasticard. Youd probably just need 1mm plasticard for the blades. The mechanical parts are just a couple of different thickness of pipes and rods.

You might want to try some legs from Privateer Press Warjacks with converted Daemonettes. The Warjacks are traditionally 'Apeish' with larger arms and upper torso than legs so the proportions should fit.

Also, you can bits order the pieces where you have to go through a separate bits company for 40k stuff mostly.

and here is the foot for those two legs

But I think these would work best for what you are looking for

and

All of those pieces are about $1.50 to $2.25 each. Scratch converting them would still be pretty cheap and I like the design. Mind if I steal this idea if I agree to post some pictures?

Thanks! This is perfect! What's the scale?

Sure thing! And thanks for the direction!

It's roughly the same scale as Warhammer games (30mm to Warhammer's 28mm I think) but the average model for Privateer Press (PP) is a little bit bulkier.

The Warjacks that these come from are either on Dreadnought size models (first two pictures) or roughly Terminator size models (everything else pictured).
The average trooper models come on roughly normal 40k sized circular bases. It's a fun game with some great models either by themselves or as bits.

Most LGS around my area carry these products and the blisters used to package them make the models themselves really easy to examine.
All of these come from the Cryx faction for Warmachine.

Listed from top to bottom you have:
Deathjack Left Leg, Right Leg, Foot
Helldiver Left Arm, Right arm
Harrower/Leviathan 4 legs
Stalker Right leg, Left leg
Stalker Left arm, Right arm

Well, I think I'm going to go with Mortenebra legs, like so:

And they're only $0.50 each!

The Mortenebra legs are very small and those pictures are zoomed in alot. The daemonette claws are actually larger.

This is sweet! Very nice idea. To match your sketches I think you need a little more of the exoskeleton (the gears and rods and such) and the spinal column tail in the sketch was rather nifty too. I understand though that finding all the bits to do just one model, let alone a bunch of them could be difficult.

Still, even like this it makes an interesting unit that is unique and awesome.

Very well done, I've always thought Chaos armies look great with a lot of mutations and all around horrific appendages that aren't supposed to be there.
These remind of something by H.R Geiger, who is one of my favourite atists by the way.
Great job!

Nice work. I can see the Giger flair Ziggy mentioned. If you're looking to bring more variety into it, try to get a hold of the arms from that DE special character, Drahzat something.

You mi9ght also want to take a look into the Necron range for spines and claws.
