While the pictures are a little blurry the colors look good.

just my two pennies but i think the whole dred ccw should be red

1. get a camera that will take close-ups, not blurred images.

2. There are things in painting called "blending" and highlites". You would greatly improve the appearance of your models by using both.

not all that bad for a first try, am sure you will imprive with time.

The only thing that really throws me is the yellow purity seal....don't know why.

You should take your pictures outside in natural light and turn the flash off, they will look way better like that.

Paint looks a bit thick. Try two thin coats instead of one thick coat. Not bad though.

Is there a Macro setting on your camera? If not, then the natural lighting suggestion is your best bet.

In regards to painting, the new washes are your friend. Even is you're not good at highlighting, the new washes can instantly add shadows and you can just highlight with the base coat.

Thanks guys. I have alot of work to do with this army yet. It is my second army. I know about the washes, I just didn't put it on there yet. I will look into washing them though. I still have 1 more dread, 2 sterns, 2 tacts, and 8 more Drop Pods to do. So I will learn as I go. As for the purity seal, how do you think I should do it? Again, Thanks!

I don't think it's the macro mode so much as other items in the background that the camera is focusing on. Notice that the pictures without the mug, for instance, show up just fine. So just make sure there is nothing in the background or put in a backdrop when taking pictures...though not using a flash as well as using the macro mode will also help dramatically.

Nice paint so far, though there are a couple areas that could use some tightening up. I noticed a bit of blue on the heel of Pedro, for instance. you could just use some black to paint over that bit, and neaten up the line.

Also, using the washes is a great idea as well. These are done to a nice tabletop standard, and following up with some of the advice here will only make them better!

for purity seals I usually stick basic, base it Bubonic Brown, drybrush Bleached Bone, light drybrush Skull White. And I use Red for the "wax" part
