Someone asked to see the Black knight Champion I entered in the Under the couch painting contest a while back, so here he is. I can't remember if I threw him up here on dakka or not before, but he has some finished buddies now to go with him! Also a base colors vampire that rides with them.

I do use a gloss spray. Crystal clear acrylic coating from Krylon. I like bright colors and the clear spray enhances and brightens colors. I never know if I like a piantjob until I see it with the spray on. Colors that I thought weere drab before the spray, I often love after the spray hits them. I started out in Fantasy battles about 10+ years ago, Learning from my dad. He started D&D with with the original crowd and happened to be in england in the air force when warhammer was starting over there. He still has original edition books and figs from fantasy(including an entire norse army!). Fantasy back then was about super bright colors, so thats what he learned and thats what I inherited.

My entire vamp counts is an ethereal host. My dire wolves are ghost dogs, my zombies are blue lifeless flesh, Vamp counts ride ethereal horses, I have banshees and spirit hosts in the list, and I use some cool ethereal floating ship figureheads as the giant bats.
