I note that in his defense of his position, Craig makes several references to being a Hobbyist.
Does he infact bear any relation to this man? Either in appearence or manner?

Yeah, come on guys, only 2.5 hours. You're starting to slack off in your old age.
One other piece in interesting info about your childhood monster movie show. The theme song is by Emerson Lake & Palmer, & I believe it's on the album Tarkus, if not the song Tarkus itself.
Here is a picture of the album cover:
http://tinyurl.com/5kvyk6
If that's not Russ' dream, mixing tanks & Monsterpocalypse, I'm not sure what is.
I was totally stumped for a caption, & then of course, one flashed into my mind when I was listening to the enties.
"Ok Mr Johnson, please turn your head & cough."
Craig, Raef, if you don't understand it, ask Russ about it. He'll be able to explain it to you soon enough.

Another nice show. Have you considered renaming the show to "The D6 Wives" and having a "When husbands attack" feature in it?
However, I for one feel that Owen the welshman stopped being funny several episodes ago and now I have just started skipping over the parts with him in it entirely. To me that is the only low point in the show.

Humor is a tricky thing. For example: the vast majority of our listeners really seem to enjoy Rapid Fire, but about 1 in 10 emails find Rapid Fire annoying.
So too with "Words from Wales". Owen has a very distinctive type of humor that most (based on our feedback) really enjoy, but this will not appeal to everyone.
That's why we try to have a variety of segments, so there is something for everyone.
The best part about the D6G for me is sharing gaming experiences with others around the world, and Owen definitly provides a unique perspective with a healthy does of sacasam thrown in for good fun. It's not easy, and it takes a good bit of bravery to put yourself out there to the world and let them critque your performance.
So to Owen I say: Well done you!

Finished listening to #19 last night. I was suprised that while Touch of Evil didn't initially interest me because I thought it was another "survivors trapped in a mall" game, as soon as I heard it was "sleepy hollow", it immediately grabbed my attention. I had never thought just a change in theme would change my view of the game so drastically.

I suppose I will make my first post on Dakka in praise of the D6 Generation:
Long time 40K player. Love the show. Very excited to hear about Dark Heresy in Episode 20. Would like to hear some more chatter about the Pirates game. Rapid Fire and Words from Wales are golden. I only wish my guttural American vocal chords could produce such eloquent sounds as Owen.

“Sanguinius. It should have been him. He has the vision and strength to carry us to victory, and the wisdom to rule once victory is won. For all his aloof coolness, he alone has the Emperor's soul in his blood. Each of us carries part of our father within us, whether it is his hunger for battle, his psychic talent or his determination to succeed. Sanguinius holds it all. It should have been his...” -- The Warmaster Horus |

I'm really enjoying the show, thanks D6 Gen-ers, Wives, and Owen!
I have a blast listening to Words from Wales and Rapid Fire. So much so that prior to posting here (for the first time ever!) I emailed Owen to say g'day and to show my appreciation! (not the sort of thing I would normally do, but wanted jump into the pro-Owen band wagon).
Cheers from Australia.

Cheers Adam your support is much appreciated

^ This guy here. Real comedian.
Great show as usual. I think it felt extra short as a fair portion was taken by the winners of the competition, which while amusing aren't particularly gaming related. Still, excellent work.

Yeah, I had a slight feeling of a meta-episode more than an episode this time
Plus this is the first time you've actually put me off buying a game you've reviewed! A Touch of Evil just doesn't sound like something I'd get much longevity out of. So, thanks for another quality review.
Oh and BattleStar Galactica, the board game, finally arrived in Ireland on Friday It's fracking great. We had a cylon player end up as both the president and admiral of the colonies, and throw the humans in the brig. Very amusing!

Last Time:

Good luck Owen
On topic...
I havent played A Touch of Evil, but from the review it sounds a lot like Arkham Horror, and I didnt hear any reason to put Arkham away.

See, that's the Welsh all over. An Aussie pays him a compliment and gets nothing but snarkiness in return!
We English have had it for years - they've piggy-backed off our generosity ever since our glorious Saxon ancestors relocated them westwards to the lumpy tail-end of the country in the 6th century and what gratitude have they ever shown us for it eh? Even when our most magnanimous sovereign Edward I kindly donated a lot of beautiful in the form of castles to decorate their otherwise godforsaken land they did nothing but moan about it and even rebelled! Can you imagine it!
No, nothing good ever came from befriending the Welsh...
j/k Keep up the good work Owen, the Welsh always make me laugh... no wait, that's just their Rugby team...

I saw parts of it through my fingers!!
What was awesome was watching Munster almost beat the All Blacks last night. I was in a bar in Dublin, and I tell you I was an honourary Irishman for the evening. But then with a name like Fitzsimmons I was always going to blend in well
