heh thanks i wish i could paint an entire army like it, unfortunately that took me 15 hours to do and for an entire ork army it may take too long, however i am planning a grot army, i have the 180 Grots all ready to go so if i decide to go ahead with it expect a blog sometime soon

Sure, you can make a very competitive list around Bikers and Nobs. I'm considering a combined Nob/Biker list myself.

if i was doing orks i wasn't going to do a competitive list, more something for fun, sure in 1500 pts i could fit wazdakka, a biker warboss, unit of nob bikers and a couple (or 3) units of bikers, it does sound fun to use, what you think for a list you may be convincing me here

Looking good, my only suggestion is to do a bit of battle damage on the Orks armor as well ie the shoulder pads and wotnot. You did such a great job weathering the rest of the model, you may as well follow through. I do hate the gold on the belly armor, though. That definately needs weathering, it's very...ballerinaesque?...as is

"Orkses never lost a battle. If we win we win, if we die we die fighting so it don't count. If we runs for it we don't die neither, cos we can come back for annuver go, see!"

I dig how in a setting where giant, muscled fungus men ride Mad Max cars and use their own teeth as currency, the concept of little engineering dudes with beards was considered a step too far down the aisle of silliness.

Dez - thanks for the comments - the ballerina comment did make me laugh, i agree though it does look out of place it was just a color test more than anything, in regards to the weathering i cheated, i painted all the metal first then just painted the red on top, much easier that way

Waaagh eeez awesum!

I like the pose a lot and the addition of the grot adds a nice sense of speed to the model.

Interesting technique, I think I make things hard on myself and do it the opposite way. I will have to try that!

Well I like the skin highlighted more, I must admit mine look a bit cartoonish but I like them that way. Normally I highlight and lately I have been washing them back down. Makes a really smooth appearance.

I love the red on the bike, but the red on the biker guy itself I feel is flat. I add flames or something to the should pads, or at least spend time wheathering it, same with the gold. It seems out of place with the great look of the red on the bike.

Over all

Nice!!!!!!!!

thanks for the encouragement guys,

Attack_Squig - agree the red on the ork is a tad flat and the gold does look out of place, i just wanted to see how they went on the model, i have another 2 warbikes, so i may paint up another one and use the feedback i got from here to see how it turns out with some weathering and just drop the gold all together,

In regards to the skin, i painted this before the washes came out, but am willing to give it a try, what do you say a mixed badab + green?, straight green, or Devlan and green?

still the other warbike i want to paint i have made up doing a wheelie over whats left of a tau battlesuit so i think i'm going to have to paint it anyway,

thanks for the C&C much appreciated

well you could always try a few army lists with SF in mind and see what happens. I try and stay flexible because one set list just doesnt cut it for everything. although nobz on bikes SUCK for whoever your playing against. GOD i love Nobz, the only thing better then a nob is a bunch of nobz!

well to be perfectly honest, in regards to a list, when i build a 1500pt list (this is the amount that i usually build an army too to begin with) i pick out a set list of things that i want the army to have in it and do,

if i was going to be build a speed freak army i would either have it as an all warbiker army, led by Wazdakka, a biker Warboss, unit of nob bikers, and then as many warbikers as i could fit in with possible some battlewagons, or looted wagons for support, or go down the route of loads of trukks and looted wagons, with burnas inside and probably stormboyz (the new models are awesome), and build my list around that core idea write a definative list build it and play,

i only have 3 armies that are going above 1500pts and thats my chaos, marines and guard any other armies i do now will be large enough to play decent quick games of 40k that they are fun to use, hence the appeal of an army made up of just bikes and drive at the enemy and see whats left alive at the end.
