Take a photo showing the whole thing. It's very hard to get a sense of it from close-ups.

Get some primer on it - it will look a lot better.
Piles of glued-together bitz can suddenly look like a work of art, with the right paint job

Im with everyone else. Its bad simply because its not primed.

Spray it black, drybrush it with codex gray and ask the same question again. My guess is the "good" votes will skyrocket. ;-)

My orky sense is tingling! That's gonna look great with some paint!
Make sure you paint plenty of metal on the model, it'll make it look a lot heavier!

Having made loads of stuff from whatever was laying around the house, I can see that it will look pretty good with the right paint job.

Ok I'm not trying to be an ass here, but I voted bad because this isn't that good.

It takes a lot of work to make something look 'ramshackle'

This looks like it was just made quickly without any prior planning as to how everything would fit together or look in the end.

Maybe if the paint job is stellar it will bring it all together, but this looks like a very entry level ork vehicle.

Again, this will look really harsh, but there has to bar set somewhere...

I think you should have put "orky" instead of OK.

Its gonna look great! IMO ork stuff is best when its made with no plan.. and the inner cardboard pieces are genius. Looks just like steel siding. Id make it look like ropes are keeping those on. Get 'er primed and lets have another vote!

And take what people say with "a grain of salt". Some people are bias and others keep an open mind..

I will give an opinion on it when it is Primed. I dont think it would be fair to you to give an opinion now because with all the cardboard with images on it, I cant tell 100% what is going on.

Prime it and I will get back to ya.

watch out when priming it. With all that cardboard it could get soggy and warp.

The land of cotton.

We need to see a little more of it to properly cast a vote. What I can see doesn't look bad but we really do need bigger and more pictures.

The important thing here is you are trying! Keep on building and getting experience and you'll be doing masterpiece models before you know it.

It's a good start and a good early effort from one who it appears is new to the hobby. The designs on the cards make it a little hard to tell where things begin and end, but the design looks good. Shape wise it looks like an ork vehicle. and It is obvious you put some time and effort into it. A word to the wise on your choice of materials. A tank made of cardboard and scotch tape, no matter how well painted, will always look like a vehicle made of such.

Duribility will be an issle, and transporting it to and from your FLGS will take it's toll on the model. Your sense of aestetic is there, and for what I assume is an early attempt on a limited budget, I would call it a success.

Paint it up, and get out there and smash some Beakies with It!

i find that offensive. If you don't have something to say don't say it. oh I did not use a shoe box and i worked my but off to make this to have you make a insulting comment like that.

Dakka is a place of brutal honesty. In my opinion, right now you have too many large flat surfaces. Adding a few panels at odd angles would go a long way towards breaking up the design. I think the basic structure is sound. Add rivets until you think there are too many, then add some more.

"If you don't have something to say don't say it."

I think that goes with out saying...lol

You may have worked your butt off on this, but remember you are asking a lrge group of people their opinions, many of us with a great deal of experience in the hobby and to us it looks like crap. Don't keep telling us how much time you spent on it, that doesn't make it better, tell us how you plan to improve it, to make it look better.

One thing I hate about playing Orks and people playing orks is the thought that any thing can be thrown together and used. Its both a great thing and a horrible thing, it can lead to creations that are amazing and take your breath away, or it can lead to shoebox battlewgons...

Even new to the hobby I paid more attention to detail and planned my stuff out better than this. I was only 13 at the time, so age is not an excuse.

You need to take beter pictures as well, move the camera out farther so we can see more of the thing. Also you might want to consider some decent sized pictures, as ones this small don't show much of anything.

When I was 15 my friend and I made the inside of a Tyranid Hive ship to play Space Hulk in. We made the entire thing in an afternoon and included mucous membranes, genestealer ducts and the works. We played a few Space Hulk games on it WHILE IT WAS STILL DRYING; the wet paint and glue adding a realistic sheen to the bases of my Terminators :-P

The reason I mention this is because it really doesnt matter if WE like the way your project looks. If you had fun building it and YOU enjoy how it looks thats all that matters. I personally think it looks very Orky and believe it will serve your boyz well.

And on a different note:

Buy some thin generic plasticard (plastic sheets) at your local hobby store. This can be made into the steel panels everyones talking about.

Rivets can be made by buying thin plastic rod at the same hobby store you purchased the plasticard. Take the rod and cut it into very small sections. Use plastic glue and carefully place these sections onto the "steel panels." This will give you the riveted effect.

good luck.
