I am thinking of converting a Flyrant from my red terror model. I would like ideas for what would make good wings for it.

I used GW's "Dragon Wings" on mine. I used a Carnifex as the base.

Or you could be crazy like me and make a biological jetpack out of barbed stranglers.

I have found that a little plastic card and some extra scything talons can be great.

Please keep in mind this was my first attempt and it took three weeks, but i'm proud of the outcome.

I got one scything talon arm and cut off the blade and added another mid arm section to give the extra area for the three blades. I then added one blade at the joint of the new and old arm sections and two at the ends. I made the plastic card slightly bigger then the area they where to fill, and slightly bent them to give a billowing effect. keep in mind that this took a lot of brass rod pinning and green stuff.

and the balrog wings are the only lotr bits. im not sure if you can buy them since they got rid of bits order.

Balrog wings here too. You can still buy them. If you go to the GW site and go to Warhammer bitz, there's 5 or 6 different wings to purchase (winged nightmare, zombie dragon, etc.).

Foda Bett - Great-looking Tyrant. While the wings look well-done and precisely how I would imagine them to be scale-wise, they seem a bit large to be practical for a 40k game.
