I am starting a blog where I can show off my army that is already painted as well as show finished projects and WIPs that I am doing over my Christmas break from Virginia Tech. I recently created a painting tray based upon this article http://www.dakkadakka.com/wiki/en/Build-Your-Own_Painting_Station it works like a charm and has already prevented 2 spills from ruining the ottoman and new rug. I have only been working for 2 days now but already I have stripped a bunch of old models who will get repainted, I finished painting my Vostroyans which only need highlights to be complete and started painting the last 3 squads of IG, and finished my 2 Empire heros. Pics will follow when I can either find a cord to hook up my camera or borrow my mom's and then figure out how to post them. As it is late here I will try to post pics tomorrow sometime.

What are the red guys over on the right - Vostroyans? I'd be interested to get closer pics of your Hellhound and the little scout tank in the back right.

In the background you can see my unpainted Tank Battalion. I have 9 tanks left to paint, 2 Demolishers, 1 Conqueror, 6 Regular Leman Russes. I will hopefully get the base coat done with my new GW spray gun when i go into my FLGS on Wednesday or Tuesday and get them to help me learn how to do it. P4NC4K3 which one are you referring to.

Looks pretty keen to me. I'd like to see more up closes of the infantry, I can't really tell much about them. I think the tank on the HH is a little on the large side, but overall I'd say this army is the most. You win a Morley.

For the Hellhound I kinda just followed the Forgeword ones as inspiration. The APC i bought from ebay. But its a conversion using a Leman Russ Hull Plasticard and wheels from somewhere. I can take more photos of stuff tomorrow.

The paint is a bit shiny and you should basecoat your models in black, if you do it's a bit hard to tell.

I do basecoat my models in Black and the shinyness is from where I have applied hardcoat to the models over the decals to protect them. So thats why spots on the tanks and all the shoulderpads have that sheen. And I have yet to find a varnish/sealer that works well. I also had the cameras flash on so that may add to it.

Sorry for not getting more pictures up today. I've been really sick and might have pneumonia. And am going to the doctors tomorrow to find out. After the docs, I will take more photos of the infantry squads, my power swords, the APC.

Well I just got back from college on sunday and the past 2 days were spent getting everything organized and put together. I have painted a tank or 2 since the last update. I bought the new codex today and am working my way through the new stuff. I am going to break out the airbrush tomorrow and knock out the base coat of the rest of the tanks. Not sure how much work I'll get to tomorrow as I am going to see the Blue Angels in downtown annapolis for lunch tomorrow.

Question: How do I change the title of a thread? Do I need help from a mod?

Ok time for updates. I broke out the spray gun yesterday and got the basecoat on 4 tanks before I ran out of paint. I got the camo stripe painted on them as well as the hull that I started back at xmas. Also to tie the tanks together I have started painting the front panel of the sides blue. I also finished up some melta gunners that were on my tray as well as the Thunderbolt Pilot Model. Pics are below. Not sure how much work I'm going to get done as I am out of my main color and won't be able to get to GW till tuesday at the earliest, unless a window pops up randomly this weekend where I can run out. So now the plans for today are to go and get some different color spray paints to do a quick paintjob on the scenery I have in my closet.

Not much, really I just have a large backlog of stuff to work through. I've had these freakin tanks since the Tank Company Box first came out like what 3 yrs ago now? So its about time I finish them.

Ok well I got more of the camo done on the tanks and painted in the blue company markings. I also started some work on my sentinel conversions made from Speeders. I also got some spray paint to start on my terrain. Do you guys think Krylon Primer will work for COD stuff? I'm trying it out before buying more colors for the buildings.

I have 1 Baneblade already. I want more, its just I have time restraints so I would prefer to spend that money on more smaller things, that I will be more likely to use now.

I plumped Imperial Guard then I said no wait Space Marines then I went no wait Khorne Marines then No wait Orks and it is now a Skullhamma and thats where its staying my next Baneblade however may be going in my Sardatan PDF.

(Sardatan being the Homeworld of my homebrew Chapter Crimson Ravens) then theres the Valkyrie and Shadowsword and ohhh my all in all I sympathisis completely with you Ghost..

Okay got some work done today on terrain. Put the finishing touches on assembly and Primed all the pieces today. I must say I used Krylon Black Primer from the hardware store, and that stuff is great. Its a 1/4th the price of GW and it works so much better. Its all I'm going to use from now on. I also picked up some of their other colors to try out on the terrain. Will post pics later as I am quite tired now.
