*Your* new SM Chapter as in your new Ultramarines or your NEW chapter as in blue SM's that only look like Ultras?

Either way, looks good so far!

Love that 'old school' MK8!

They are quartered blue and grey. My guess is they are the Civil Warriors. Looks sharp-needs better photos.

They're the blurry, hard to distinguish chapter. They use night fighting rules at all times.

Not sure if you are having a go or what but anyways.

Working on a couple of names as well as my photogaphy techniques, name ideas I am tossing around are

Sons of Gulliman

Exisors

Black Dragons (Will be the chapter symbol)

He's not having a go. He means is this your own custom chapter or are they ultramarines? It is hard to make it out from your picture.

I can see now as jmurph says they are quartered blue and grey, which is kewl.
gd luck with them.

Did not think so but it was hard to figure the meaning was all, thanks for the feedback, I am working on getting some photos done in a better situation to show them off a bit, the guy in the forground has no detail on him, he is the test piece as well as being a newly inducted marine. My idea is that most of the marines in my army will have a lot of ornamentation, like the sternguard and vanguard figures. I am also taking off some ultramarine symbols off the Tyrannic war veteran figure to use as tactical marines. The way I see it marines are around for decades if not centuries, so they will all have a few baubles and symbols on them after that period of time. There was a great 2 page picture on the 4th edition rulebook that I love, it shows a bunch of marines charging forward, all with lots of detail and different types of armour, in my mind that it how marines should look. If i can find the pic I will post it so you know what I mean.

Unfortunately, dante, the name Sons of Guilliman is already taken ( Indeed, Uriel Ventriss makes use of one of their suits of Power Armour in the latest book, Killing Ground ).

The following link will take you to the Lexicanum page concerning the chapter, and showing their armour colours as well as Chapter Badge.

Sorry if this puts a dent in your idea, but there are still plenty of good naming possibilities. If you could come up with some Chapter history it might help with the naming. Does the grey element of the colour scheme signify anything ? ( other than just lookin good, which it does BTW ) .

Names aside, the colours look good, and it is a nice change to see grey used as a contributing colour instead of the main base of the uniform. The painting standard is also good ( much better than some of the stuff I've seen on tables )

Stick with it, you're on to a winner here, and best of luck with the name. I know from experience that part can be frustrating.

Thats ok, it was a name I had only thought of in passing the ay before anyway, I should have thought to check on Lexicanum. The other name I had thought of was the Doom Griffons, that was the name of a chapter I did up years ago, did not stick woth the scheme but I liked the name.

They grey has no significance at the moment, but I am sure that will change as I delve deeper in to the Chapters background. I am toying with making them a second founding chapter.
