Hi, just converted my AOBR warboss (which i'll be posting later on) and he looks pretty small. I played a bit of DoW 2 and that Warboss is HUGE. He will be my big boss i decided, but i can't figure out how to make him?

If i could get some help finding which parts i would need for it i would appreciate it greatly and post the conversion on the site.

So far i've deducted using the following pieces:
-AOBR Warboss legs, with loincloth cut off.
-One of the Plastic Ork Nob's head with GS.
-Shoota from metal Warboss or AOBR.

I just can't figure where i'm going to find those gigantic forearms of his - Ogryn arms with lots of GS?
And his chest, stuck with his chest.

I'd say the ogryn is a fair call. Are you good with GS? Even if you aren't, bulking up the muscles wouldn't be too hard. For example biceps can be bulked up with long oval shapes blended to the existing arm with a smoothing tool.

haha i downloaded the beta for DoW II but my video card doesnt support it

he's pretty big, and the legs are totally dwarfed by that gigantic torso. Massive compared to the leg-torso ratio of Nobz

He doesn't even look like an Ork, once you strip away the gear.

Ogres/Ogryns are the way to go, that's what i did.

Start with a forgeworld renegade berserker ogryn and tack on bits from there. The head will probably look too small so you'll need to GS it.

But yea, thanks for the suggestions. Most probably use a bit of the Ork sprues with Ogryn and ALOT of GS.

I'll start him in my next holiday so that should be around Feb/March.

You could also use a Privateer Press model.

I'd go with the new Ogryn and the AoBR warboss myself, with Ghatzkull's jawplate and some additional bitz to spice him up.

What about Ghazgull's entire upper torso but other arms and legs. He's only $40 CAN.

But Ghazkull has Mega Armour and no real upper torso aside for the huge box. How'd that work?
Also upon further thinking I'd say use the metal Warboss head rather than the AoBR one as the AoBR one has a bionik eye which the DoW2 warboss doesn't

I would suggest the head from the old metal Warboss if you can find it. He's bald and screaming. Just ad Gahzkull's Jaw and you got a winner.

I'd say an Ogryn body is the way to go if you want to build something that muscular.
His Powerklaw looks pretty weird though.

It's a hammer with some spikes on it. The 1st picture shows it pretty well.

Ogre Kingdom body and arms, Legs from Black Reach Warboss, Ork nob head that's been buffed up, gun from metal warboss, I can make the hammer and ALOT of GS.

I'm not so sure if you can actually put an Ogre Bull body on the Warboss legs. They are pretty fat.

As far as my experience goes the Ogre Bull torso will never look good on ork legs. I'd say go with the metal Ogryn or possibly the WFB Troll. But that's just my experience, you might be able to pull it off better.

sheesh anyways. Your idea on modeling after the DOW2 boss is awesome. good luck on that. Ive seen some people GS WFB ogres into some pretty sweet IG Ogryns so if your good enough with the stuff you can easily make some ragtag camis or something on the lower half of one.
Also I have to say that bosses hammer club thing is friggin sweet. Thats so Ork its scary

The WHFB Ogres probably have suitable-size arms for the Warboss (Probably the largest mass-scale production GW arms), though the torsos are pretty fat for an Ork. You could try filing down the man-boobs and belly, and then doing a bit of GS work to get them to look right. Since the Boss is wearing armor and a shirt under it, it shouldn't really matter what the torso looks like underneath.

As i said the ogre torso would just be a base to guide the rest of the chest, I'd sculpt over it. Black reach has similar looking Warboss legs so i'd use them.

Didn't someone on this forum model a warboss with a Privateer Press Troll thing? It was massive, very similar in stature, and had two massive powerfists.

Yea, I saw it but it's not the same Boss.

I know. But you could use a similar model as a base. The proportions on the model were fairly similar.

it was huge it was done by jamieson or something (butchering his name) if got the legs and the arms the would be perfect and even the body but that would look too similar
