I completed a successful transaction w/ Nazdrek. Seeing this accusation, I read GW's webpage and compared the mini against the checklist they provided. While I'm no expert I don't think this is a recast. The model has great detail w/o bubbles or defects. The entire model was present and the metal compares well w/ other Citadel mini's I have.

What do you have to back up the claim of recasting?

I've sent a PM to a MOD concerning this. If they deem it for public discourse then so bit.

I have the 2008 games day space marine model. the real one. and there's a few things i noticed:

the last strip of linen from his waist has 3 stubs in it, not 2.

on the two plates on his butt, there is a bit that projects out of the 2nd plate.

the model's hair doesn't flip up as much as yours. it's relatively straight with a slight bend at the front.

Keep in mind the pictures posted in this thread are not the actual minis he is selling.

My other 2008 GD marines were for all intents and purposes flawless - and all of them were a clean "white-metal" color like the azrael and other models I have on hand (now) to compare them too. This model? Not even close. The Centurious I received is the same color as the GD model, and both have irregularities in the casting. Had I had anything on hand to compare them too before sending my trade goods out - I would not have.

Now I have to send them to GW-UK for analysis - if these are fake then Mr. "Nazdrek" Rains is going to have some splaining to do.

I take contractual breaches very seriously.

And to anyone who wants to have some fun - you can use all metal GW models as pencils (apparently), but it seems the incredibly high lead content of the ones I have from Nazdrek here make really good ones.

The person making the accusation of the figures being recasted does not even have one of the items I listed for trade. So where he is getting his information from I don't know. If you are unhappy with any figures you received from me in trades just let me know and we can reverse the deal as I will not have trouble retrading them again.

Before you go and accuse someone of something I suppose you should have more information than a picture.

For the guy naming all the faults in the pictured GD Marine you should take that up with the guy that painted it and posted it on the net. That came from searching the web www.solelegends.com.

I did not reply to the thread because I did not feel I needed to defend myself against someone who accuses me of something he does not know.

I have some armies available to trade as well as verified Paypal.

Im interested in the Captain and Female commissar, may i see
the actual photos of the minis i'll be receiving?

I mean i have no interest in looking at what others painted,
i want to see actual stuff i'll get from trade.

I dont even know the condition they are in, or if they are NIB or not

The Female commisar isnt very rare. I would be careful about that. Even though it was a limited edition model, just like the black Templar's SM captian that used to come in the 3rd edition box set it was available for order from the GW catalouge for a while.
