This is my new impreial gaurd army i am working on its a airborn army.

the idea right now is to have all the gaurdsmen equiped with parachutes and use valkyres instead of chimeras as transports. Ive started working on the gaurdsmen but have hit a block as i need to wait for the heads to be shipped to me, so i started work on the paratrooper ogryns whilei waited.

Open to Suggestions and comments!

Looks pretty cool. You should also equip your valkyries with speakers (model one) and mount small surfboards on the side.

One thing... If they are paras and they are deployed into a battlefield by jumping from Valkyries, why are their chutes still neatly tucked away on their backs?
Alternatively, if the Valkyries landed and they disembarked, why do they have parachutes at all?

Other than that paradoxical oddity, good greenstuff work!

you know thats a good point lol and i agree but its more of like a theme and look for the army so all the troops have parachutes and I use flyers instead of ground vehicles is all. but I see what you mean and appreciate the thought.

Ok Love them all. Great work. Could you explaine how you would only use flyers? I dont understand how that would work unless it was only apoc. I love the idea I am just confused.

Ok let me rephrase it flying type of vehicles aka skimmers and flyers which the valkyres fit into and i felt like it added to the feel and look a bit more
Also the army will always work as a drop gaurd army too (just in case i want to mix it up a bit)

What one can field is really just based off what his opponent will be willing to play against. I play a Elysian Drop Army, complete with Vulture gunship that I field in regular games. It just depends on ones FLGS.

i Love it, can't wait to see more. U could always have tanks brought in by drop ships so you could have tanks as well if you want ( yes i know the tanks wouldn't actually be brought in by drop ship during a battle) but hey tanks are awsome!!!!!!

It would be cool to leave the bags open since they're Ogyns and couldn't care less after landing. They'd just drag their parachutes into battle and never give it a second thought. Maybe you could have the parachute "strings" hanging behind them?

I love the cowboy hat. I tried making one for my grot rocket, I wanted to have a grot riding it waving a hat like Dr Lovestrange but it ended up looking like a cornish pasty.
