I don't have any images of Necrons, but doing them copper / bronze might be a nice change.
I found this tutorial but I haven't had a chance to try it yet :-

'fir necrons' - now that sounds interesting!
personally, i've recently picked up some chrome effect spray from B&Q & will purchase -
1 box of necrons
enough resin skull-type bases at Salute next Saturday
then cobble the whole lot together & hope the new ads for the T4 movie will generate some interest on Ebay!
I will post with the results.

Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!! |

I've painted a couple now. They are snake bite leather and heavily drybrushed with bbleach bone. Their faces are Commando Kakhi.
I just need to figure out how to do the monolith now. Anyone know how to paint a stone texture?

Actually you can buy some... I THINK its Krylon, anywho some spreay paint comes in a stone like texture. Try it on some crap sprue first so it dont ruin your monolith

DONT! - I used Fleckstone paint to make a Grind board, it goes on -really- heavy with thick splatery flecks, it'll obliterate any detail and gum up the sharp corners...

Well, Vallejo has a metallic base that you can mix with other colors. Mixed it, and a little bit of midnight blue to come up with a nice metallic blue for my necrons. Did the same thing to a red for their shoulder pads. The colors turned out quite nice.
