Very nice - I'd love to see some closeups on the weathering of the tracks.

That is spot on how a shadowsword should be. The tank commander really is an excellent detail.
Great work. Can we have close up on the grey areas, I would like to see in more detail how they are painted.

No sponsons because it's a Titan-killer. If anything gets close enough that the Shadowsword would have to use its sponsons, then the escorting troops have failed :-)
Paul A., you can check the blog link in the firs post, click on the blog photos for extreme close-ups.

Nice grey Tank.
Using enhanced side armor then?
Maybe rethink the sponsons. Targeters seem to be there on FW/Epic shadowswords.

For sure. I'd have liked to put on some targeters as well but they were not included in the kit that I could see. The only thing on top of the sponsons is a lascannon turret.

i would havev kept the sponsons, because its a super heavy it can multi target. never underestimate the value of independent targetting lascannon. Still av14 has its uses.
IIRc the front heavy bolters are optional for the Shadowsword, at +25pts but included in the price for all the other varients. I like this as I hate those tacked on HB's they just dont look right, one of several reasons why I will be building mine as a Shadowsword.

Good points - to be honest the "game advantages" never really occurred to me. I'll be using it in non-40K sci-fi games too so the ultimate objective was to build something that I thought looked cool.

Another good point, but in the plastic kit there is no option for deleting them, apart from scratchbuilding a hatch or something to cover the hole :-)

Badass. Awesome. Other high praises.
The Shadowsword is one of my favorite superheavys, hence my username. There's just something very appealing about a tank that can blow the arms off a titan.

Sadly the needed lenses/sensors to replace the lascannon barrel aren't included.
But i do believe its not to hard to scratchbuild it. Just use the turrets and add some parts of sensors/lights as "faceplate" of the turret.

I like the fact it has no turrets , not every tank is built for multi role this was built for a certian job in the field and needs the space that would be taken up by the turrets and turret ammo for more ammo for the job it was built for .

Because it's really annoying to have to read a post as if it were texted from a cell numpad. Laziness is no excuse, it takes literally 1 more second to not come across as someone who is not worth listening to. If you are not going to put in more than a minuscule amount of effort into your posts, I will not make any effort to care about what you say and skip past your post.
Great looking Shadowsword dienstuhr, I think the lack of sponsons is a refreshing break from most superheavies.

Very nicely done. I really like the paintwork, the weathering and mud adds a new level detail to the tank changing it from 'just a model' to something that holds your attention. I agree that that the sponsons thing is overrated ( this coming from someone who just paid $120 aus for three sets of extra sponsons for his three stormlord variants), but that said, there something..............how do i put it............incomplete about the tank. I know i'm going to be howled at for this but, its lines (for me anyway) are some how broken by the lack of a panel there, maybe if there had been a plastic card section put in, or maybe some other conversion in its stead.....hmmm, but otherwise great work.

Dude, good conversion but like a humble techpreist said it needs something on the side to spread it out, thats the problem of guard tanks they are too flat!

I agree with Humble but i would also add, if you want extra armour plates you can get them out of the baneblade accessories sprue
p.s. I will not start an arguement with ph34r out of respect.
