I enjoy seeing all of my many hours of painting in action so I took pictures. I started this thread because i wanted to show some of them off and encourage all of you to take some photos of your own and post them. I look forward to seeing what you've got! ^_^

These are from a different last man standing of equal proportions, I just liked this photo) my remaining 2 nobs with one wound each standing on their last trophy and entire killed section. (full collection didn't fit in the photo)

Tua v.s. chaos space marines stand off

(substitute furioso for a chaos dreadnought and Space Marine Rhino for a Chaos Space Marine Rhino because my friend is still building up his chaos space marine army. I Can't wait to see his new Defiler painted in action!

I'd suggest spending a little time on building scenery.
You and your friend could easily fill a table with great looking terrain in a weekend for very little money.
Paint pots, dice and templates really spoil the illusion for me.

The orks that is, not the paint pots. Also as orks are fungus then there's no reason that they couldn't be different colours just like different fungus can be coloured differently. Toadstool orks would pretty damn strange I reckon.

Yea god forbid someone doesnt want to pay the outrageous prices GW wants for their terrain. I think as long as you have something for terrain then use it. I used to use some of those taco bell potato bowls for terrain. Always made me hungry after playing tho...

Prices aside, making terrain with left over spues is very effective and certainly not costly...

But yes, paint pots are lame.

I would LOVE to! I build all my terrain myself. I have bunches of things, so I will post some this weekend. Thanks for the suggestion!

For what it's worth, about 13-14 years ago, I did not use a Chloraseptic bottle as a Giant for my Orc and Goblin army.

Reading this thread inspired me to build some 30 second trees.
Just some garden foliage brown packing tape and a coin to weight the base.
Give it a go, beats the crap out of paint pots.
