I will just preface to say, this is not mine. I discovered it on Coolminiornot. With all the big stuff coming out for other armies it would be nice for the Tau to have something crazy like this:

http://www.coolminiornot.com/210732

I can identify a lot of the parts in it ...but not all of them.

If I knew, I'd tell you.

That looks brilliant- it's just.... how could anyone else incorporate it into their army? Just as a normal battlesuit?

The oonivers vill burn!

Pure awesome.
That really is nicely done, although I still think that titans do not fit the tau.

the 25th century

That is wicked cool!! I'd make up my own set of rules for it, maybe have it count as something similiar to a revenant or even a warhound. I know alot of people think titans are "un-tau-ish" but they do make extensive use of battlesuites, so I would try to think of this as a very large and experimental type of battlesuit.

My own little happy place

I saw that one before the only thing I don;t like about it is the torso sticks out a little too far, but I've seen a LOT worse custom titans(legos )

Those are two of the best, hell no, The best tau conversions I have ever seen. The Ingenuity, attention to detail, composition and use of parts truly shows this is a experiensed, proffesional modeler.

Meh. I'm not a fan. It's too gundam for Tau. Each to their own though. Good luck to him.

I never understood why tau wouldnt have large suits, or small titan like suits, I mean I would never see them with huge emporer class titans, or even warhounds, but I could def see them use like hammerhead size heavy suits. On a seperate note, I was curious if you even play tau InyokaMadoda, I mean I personally always thought even crisis looked pretty gundam influenced, if not a little clumsier...

Because stompy robots over a certain size are death traps. Two words, Knee-seeker Missiles

Anything titan sized is too big to damage easily, especially with force fields of some kind. Anything a bit bigger than a man is fine because it can use cover easily.

something in between is a bit of a liability. Much better off with Hammerheads

I understand your logic, it works, but I mean in real life terms something thats as big as that model would be in real life, would usually be able to hide behind hills, large trees, I mean its not 500 feet tall. And hammerheads cant fly, they are more like less effective eldar skimmers, so they arent exactly fast flyers. If that suit had a jetpack, then now were talkin, like mechwarrior.

I mean that it's TOO gundam. There are some differences between gundam and tau and even though there are some very heavy influences there for tau, this model is just a step too far for me.

They are gorgeous models, incrediably detailed and the form is well thought out. Flies in the face of Tau thinking fluff wise but heck.. gorgeous.

My personal reaction is it seems as if a Techno-virus has invaded Tau hardware Decepticon style.
