The Imperial Guard Manticore Rocket Launcher lists under it's profile only a single entry of "Storm Eagle Rockets" to describe it's primary weapon, It also has a special rule saying that once this primary weapon has been fired 4 times it can no longer be fired where it says "A Manticore Rocket Launcher(that is the vehicle, just to be clear) typically carries a rack of four rockets."

My question to you guys is, do you think that a weapon destroyed result against this vehicle would mean it loses the "storm eagle rockets weapon system" meaning it's primary weapon cannot be used anymore or do you think it loses "a single storm eagle rocket, of which it is armed with multiples".

Interceptor Drones can disembark at any point during the Sun Shark's move (even though models cannot normally disembark from Zooming Flyers).

If they are anything like Hunter-Killers, I'd say you'd need 4 results.

Until we get a full wording then its a bit hard to determine.

The rockets are just shells (fraggin big ones!!!!)...

A Whirlwind can fire 6 times in a 6 turn game, if you score a weapon destroyed would you be destroying the gun or one of the shells?

If one of these huge rockets exploded chances are it would do serious damage to the rocket launching mechanism and destroy the whole gun

Fluff != Rules.
Untill we see the actual rules (i.e. Is it 1 Weapon that can fire 4 times or are they 4 one shot weapon) we cannot be sure.

This, to me, makes it sound like a single weapon with four shots.

If that's what the wording is, then that would be the case.
I doubt it though, as it just brings in a needless amount of paperwork and keeping track of "how many times have I fired"

But then again so does 4x one shot weapons.

At this point rule for the manticore are only, in the IA books (i'm quoting from IA Apoc)
... some how i think they'll be getting a massive make over as they are G36"-300" Str9 AP ordnance 1, 7" blast, one shot ... thats a bit of a blind spot

Well, they've been given a massive make over, featuring comedy multiple templates from each missile among other things.

However this thread serves no purpose since the codex isn't released making answers little more than rumours even if someone provided a page reference (by and large people wouldn't be able to check the facts for themselves).

Yeah, because Tau players have had so much trouble with Skyrays and their 6 single use weapons.

Well, having had another gander at the Guard Codex today, the wording is most certainly 1 weapon that can fire 4 times. So a single weapon destroyed result is good enough to stop it for good.
