OK. So there has been talk here lately of painting and what is good, and what is not for the price.
I am offering my services up for those that want outstanding figures enlisted in their armies.
Here is some pictures of my work.
This is a piece I just finished up, it is highly converted as in EVERY Piece is converted, and "green stuffed".
It was inspired by Victoria Lambs "Squabble".
Here is a peice that is on Ebay right now. I did this up while working on the High Elves below.
Commission work for a fellow here in San Diego.
Another Gamer I am painting for who loves the elves.
Here are some Marines that I Just did up for a fellow in Georgia.
Here is a Legion of the Damned Rhino I did for yet another customer.
Here is the Land Raider for the same guy.
How about a converted Tzeentch Chariot for yet another guy.
My River Trolls.
A Slaanesh Knight for another guy.
I have room coming up in my schedule for a few smaller (2 or 3 units) or 1 large job (the whole army)
Let me know if anyone is interested in hiring my services.
Thanks.

Anti-Mag,
I thank you for your opinion. It does mean something to me. I however did not say in the post that I was offering golden demon quality figures. The figures depicted here are all above average tabletop figures. I did not put any figures here of that quality, because if I do then that is what the customer will expect for the cost. However, some of the figures that ARE here have won best paint army at RTTs.
I paint so that people can afford the figures, and still have nice figures on the tabletop.
I would be interested in seeing your work.
For those that are interested in my "meagre" abilities, here are my prices.
Rank and file troops: $7.00 each
Sergeants/command figures: $10.00
Heros on foot: $12.00
Mounted knights: $16.00
Mounted heros: $20.00
Small vehicles(rhinos etc): $25.00
Small warmachines: $30.00
Chariots: $40.00
Lg vehicles: $35 and up
Huge vehicles: $45 and up
Monsters: $45 and up

If you are serious about setting this up, check out http://members.webs.com/ to make a simple attractive free site for it, if I managed to do it, anyone can
You should try categorising your painting standards also to make pricing and ordering simpler.
The High elves look lower standard than the orcs for instance, charging the same price for both can cause orders to get wonky or people to get upset. You should look around some other similar standard painting sites too to try and get a nice competitive sale price for painting, converting, and both together.
If the prices you have listed involve conversions with the models too, than thats looking pretty good.
Best of luck.

Sure, it isn't to nitpick his work to make yourself feel better, as is 99% of posts here and in the other like threads. One or two people give genuine advice and then all the insecure painters who are jealous of people making money off of what they do (as if it is a higher status to do it for money) come out of the woodwork.
If you genuinely dont like it/dont care/have nothing better to do than post for posting sake in someones thread where they are trying to feed their kids and pay their bills, then dont post.
I imagine you would be very pissed off if someone came to where you work/studied and started causing a scene about what you do isnt worth it, and what you do isnt up to par. It isnt anyones damn business but the painter and the owner of the models/the employee and the boss, so get off your high horse, stop crying that you were wrong and live and let live already.

First of all he didn't ask for your opinion, this isn't a Painting and Modelling "please leave criticism" thread, this is an advertisement.
If you are going to go about it in the fashion, then he (Terryanddiedra) didn't ask for you to fight his corner, I am sure that he is perfectly capable of answering Anti-mag's comments on his own (O the Irony of this post), it is a FORUM in th Forum section, meaning that people are mean to DISCUSS
PanamaG wrote:Second, no one cares what your opinion is.
I am sure that many people care about his (Anti-Mag) opinion as he seems to have quite a high number of relevent and constructive posts, whereas YOU post mainly OT.
I have to agree with Anti-Mag, some of the stuff (squabbling orcs, river trolls) are to a good standard, but the tzeentchian lord on chariot the colours are flat, and no highlighting has been used, try using some washes to improve the quality and less paint on the brush for higlighting, it is the same story with the high elves,
@Terryanddiedra: Is this commisionwork your livelihood or just a part time thing for a bit of extra cash?

Hi,
What incredible pictures! I think part of the cause of these comments are that you have very high- def, close up pictures of models that must look incredible from a normal tabletop view. But in this close we can see every bleepin' piece of dust on 'em!
Your prices are more than fair for the quality you're offering imho. And these are definitely above average from what you'll see in fully-painted armies!
Of course one-off pieces will be better, but that's not what you're offering. Cheers and if I had the cash I'd hire you myself
Might want to re-post your thread to get it back on the topic of your services for hire!

I appreciate all your input. Both praise and crits. You can not improve if you do not get honest opinions from people.
So that being said, I have one large tank order that I am working on, and then I have some openings if anyone is looking for some paint.
Thanks

There's a good reason for that sticky; I must say that's the first I'd seen of it.
@T&D: All the best (again!). No doubt painting on a regular basis will only improve the standard of your models, and then the sky is the limit.
@PanamaG : I'm not going to argue with you anymore as your views are pretty incendiary as it is, and do little for the subject at hand. It's also not fair to take over one mans thread with another, so if you have any remaining beef, message me and I'll respond in kind
@Goliath: Thanks for taking the time to research the content of my posts, and for backing the idea of second opinions.
