Hi everyone - this is just a post to a: shamelessly link to my gallery WIP DP http://www.dakkadakka.com/gallery/images-14062-2283_Darkkt%27s%20Daemon%20Princes.html, but more importantly b: ask if anyone else has used Inquisitor models as a base for DP's?
Ive seen some amazing slaaneshi DPrincesses around the Severina and Sevora models - but once ive got this project out of the way, I want to keep trying my hand at the converting and would love some ideas - (I figure I can only get better!).

The head is looking really nice, welcome to dakka dakka too!

Im sure Ive seen a pretty sweet model using tyrus as a base, with the current metal DP head.

Other than that, not too sure.

What did you use as a base for that prince? The renegade CSM/inquisitor model?

Redbeard has used the assasin models as demon princesses, as have a few others.

Cool - Redbeard's army looks great (I think those were the assassing models Id seen when scouting for ideas). Im planning on using these same models, cutting off their hands, and substituting tyranid warrior talons - try and make the ladies look more like Daemonettes.

The hair was my first attempt at greenstuff, as you can probably tell I wanted to do tentacle hair but it turned out like 80's rockstar hair... I still have another Inquisitor scale death cult assassin I plan to do as well, hopefully when I get better at greenstuff.

Very nice - I'm thinking those 'feathered' wings' too! The hair (whilst a little 80's yes), does work pretty well - a punk Daemon princess.

Hi again, thought I would update the WIP - I dont move fast, nor am I 'eavy Metal', but I have fun, and I think this guys coming along well.

trying the scortched brown + gold basecoat, then drybrushed with gold. will be highlighting with a gold+mitheral, then touches of straight mitheral, to get a 'shine' look.

Thought I might as well finish this thread with the final product.





Its no pro painted by any means, but I like to think its solid table top.
