[OOC: I think the zombies in this one were a bit too over powered. There was not really enough time to develop the characters and story before we just had to run/get eaten. I would either have left them as slow and purposeful, or ramped the difficulty up a bit more slowly.

I don't mind playing this one out to the end. As I said, I don't think we will last too much longer anyway]

Sil had been covering their rear as they moved deeper into the bunker. He couldn't tell if the darkness was playing tricks on him or if part of it was following them. Suddenly the darkness solidified. Sil fired the pistol at the dark blur as it moved towards them. The gunshot echoed throughout the concrete walls, rolling off into the distance.

Both Dave and Patrick jumped and turned.

"Feth" said Sil, as he was knocked off his feet by whatever it was that had been following them. His night vision had been wiped out by the muzzle flash so he wrestled blindly with the attacker. It was several moments before he realised that the attacker was not fighting back. He rolled the body off him and pulled himself to his feet.

"Feth" he said again and kicked at the corpse at his feet.

"What the hell is going on?" demanded Patrick in the darkness.

"Fethed if I know" replied Sil "I thought I had seen something following us for a while. It suddenly looked like it was getting closer and I shot at it."

The group was quiet for a while as they gathered round the corpse. It was too dark for them to see anything but a pale blob on the floor. Suddenly Patrick remembered the bag he had grabbed from the car before they ran. He unslung it from his shoulders and rummaged around in it. "Sure hope this is the bag with a torch in it..." he muttered as his fingers groped through the contents. "Ah-ha!" he announced in triumph as a blinding light suddenly shone out at the bottom of the bag.

He removed it slowly so their eyes grew used to the light. They all peered at the body now revealed in full bloody glory. A pool of blood was forming underneath the body. A small hole was torn through the person's back, just above the heart. The head looked intact. Patrick frowned... a shot like that shouldn't have killed one of the undead - only destroying the brain seemed to keep them down. And they didn't bleed like that either...

Gah!

Yeah, I felt this was a failed RP, fun, but generally it progressed waaaay too fast. So I ended it.

And a good ending it was too.

They Drove past the cars, they were empty Blood was splattered all over the windows and the bodies lay in the street. then the bike started to splutter

"what the Frack, we just filled this" Naomie muttered under her breath

She got of the bike and N followed leaving it lying in the middle of the road. they began to walk in silence. Naomie pulle dthe bottle of whiskey out of her bag. if thier was a better time for it she didn't know when it was. A tear began to roll down her face as she thought about her dad, and how she could of gotten away from this all if she hadden't left the house. she threw away the empty bottle and let N get a bit infront of her

"i'm sorry"she said, raising her rifle

"wh..." N never managed to finish his sentence as Naomie put a round through his headjust as he turned round

She fell down onto the road crying for her dad. she droped the rifle and drew her pistol placing the barrel in her mouth. And pulled the trigger

Even though I didn't RP, this was an absolutely fantastic story to read. To be honest, a quick ending is what most RP's need, kind of like ending a chapter.

If Karon hadn't killed everyone, the characters could be reintroduced a la Left 4 Dead with the survivors finding the characters of the people who wanted to join after some of the players died. For example: the bunker was actually a military installation with some personnel left and the ability to evacuate. It's cliche, but it would allow a new chapter(RP) to be written.

I think that the next one should be some kind of continuation of this one that just ended.

Except one of the most active characters, and one really imperative to the story, was killed off.

And, my ending was extremely good.

I'm not saying it wasn't Karon. It was good, and there are probably fifty other ways it could've ended. I definitely do think that this was an excellent place to end the story for the moment so that was a great call.


Fitzz's death was incredibly unfortunate as he was a great RPer as well. However you did have GES and you to continue the story. GES may not be the best, but he still has the initiative to be a great RPer. Also, this could've given Fitz a chance to resurrect in a different character.

You also broke a cliche. Instead of killing a dog, you killed a cat. In fact it was almost heartwrenching.

Your character decided to fight it out with Fitzz against 200ish zombies. Although your character's death is not actually recorded in detail, it just says that he died

It is on P8 about 1/3 of the way down, with the pre-event post about 1/3rd of the way down p7.

And ghosty has exams next week I think so he may be a bit slow - think he said he would be on in the evenings.
