Im a big fan of nose art on planes, especially the WW2 ones, and since i picked up the Valkyrie i figured id distinguish them by adding personal touch to them.

this is a valkyrie with the shark teeth seen quite frequently on old P-40 warhawks

BRILLIANT!!! It's like "Tex" Hill of the 1st AVG was cryogenically frozen inside a "Warhawk" and was thawed out in 40,000! Man, I love that you did this. LOVE IT!

If you had painted it olive drab... tits.
That's all I'm saying...

kinda off topic but i really like the frosting effect you have on the widows. makes it look like it's flying at high alt.

on topic. nice, but isn't everyone doing that? i've seen alot of pictures of valks with that kind of nose art (shark mouth). I'd like to see one that's like an eagle's beak or something. maybe a bear head?

Nice paint job. Shark mouths today on airplanes typically mean that the plane has made a gear up landing but was tough enough to be rebuilt, instead of scrapped. Just for some background info.

Nonsense. The Battle Company box is perfect for filling out your ranks of aspect warriors with a large contingent from the Screaming Baldies shrine.

I'd bet money the frosting effect comes from fumes given off by superglueing the windows.

You should always use white glue when you glue those onto a model kit, to avoid the frosting.

I like the Teeth. I am glad the Valk kit came along; it has really inspired quite a few modelers to go the extra mile and put some really nice models on the table.

One small suggestion about the “Shark” lettering though: give it a black lining. The yellow you have does not contrast well with the blue of the hull and its difficult to spot the lettering. With some black lining around the title, it will really make the name POP out at you.

I will have to get busy on my guard, I have another painting lot of 25 guardsmen to go before I “treat” myself to working on my Valk.

This is one of my Vulture Gunships. It shows a different paint job than a sharks mouth on the nose.

I think painting other things on aircraft makes them more unique, I think an aquila would look perfect on a flyer
