Subject: WIP Ork Warbiker Warboss in sidecar Konvershun.

Hey folks! Thanks for all the advice and help in advance on this project. I decided to remake the thread and compress some of it, eliminate a few pics and the sort.
Pictures here is the origional model for an Ork warbike with sidecar for the Warboss. My origional idea was to have the warboss driving the bike but I fell in love with Savnock's suggestion of placing the boss in the sidecar.
As you can see the origional model used the ugly old bike. The sidecar is a turret to a Leman Russ and the big shoota on the sidecar came from a warbuggy.

Here I replaced the old warbike with a new one and squeezed the AOBR warboss in the sidecar. I also hacked off the gunz on the sidecar as the bike would have em and I figured hte boss would want to use his own gear instead.
The problem I ran into at this stage was getting the sidecar to attach to the warbike. I had just one beam running between the two and even after cementing it overnight it still fell apart.

I aopted the suggestion of another support beam and for now that seems to be working. See below pic of the bottom of the bike.
I also adopted the suggestion of making the sidekar closer to the warbike. This made it so the dakka on the bike didn't fit in on the left side (driver's left) of the bike so I simply took that gun and glued it to the other for the TL effect.
In painting I realized the origional arm with the spiked club was a left arm, not a right arm, so had to change it up for a chain arm.
As for painting...
The Warband is the Bad Sunz - a mix of Evil Sunz and Bad Moons. Basically, the Warboss (pictured here) is an Evil Sunz warboss and decided to kick in some gold teef of those Bad Moonz. As a result some units are Red (Evil Sunz) and others are Yellow (Bad Moons.)
The Metallic red is a reaper paint painted over Gore Red and Blood Red. I'm far from a pro and have more painting to do yet, detail, inking the blood reds, ect... In fact I have to paint another coat of the red metallic paint on the entire unit. But I have come across one issue: Too much Boltgun metal.
What to do about the boltgun metal? How do you diversify your gun painting?
I also have yet to placed a glyph on that big blank space on the sidekar and some transfers on the side. I think there will also be a lightning bolt on the driver's helmet. The reason the hair on the warboss' pole is blue is becuase it's Eldar hair (Is eldar hair blue? IDK, just guessed). My buddy (who plays eldar) is going to give me some Eldar heads to decorate the Kar with as well.
Also, sorry for the blur in the pics. The iPhone doesn't do macro.

You can use different base metal colours combining with drybrushing. You can end up with brass or bronze easily. Or alternatively make stuff look rusty or broken, or even give it a non-metallic colouring combined with metallic edging to make it look as if it has been painted and scuffed.
