Hello all, been I while since I’ve put up any articles. Mainly because I’ve had GCSE's going on at the minute! Nearly finished!!! . So any way had the day of today was supposed to be study leave really, but I get tend to get distracted from revision by Dakka but I decided to hoke out some old models. Doing this I found an old landspeder from the 4th edition starter box.

Well any way. It was pretty banged up, bits missing and the like. I had set out with the intent of just converting it and adding a few bits to use it with my space marines, but that changed. After i had got to the stage where I had hacked it to bits!

So then I decided to use it for my orks! Don’t really intend to be using this in any games. Just thought it would look better with orks as its sort of a hack job! Any way pictures bellow tell us what you think. Hopefully ill get it painted up in the not to distant future too!

Looks fun. I have always wanted to make some looted tanks that were along these line. It makes the "dont push that button" rule make so much sense. A landspeeder driven by an ork, can you say disaster waiting to happen?

Driver gets in a fist fight with his co-pilot, gunner begins shooting maniacally into the air further altering the course of the landspeeder until they take a few swift flips and ork fungus gets sprayed everywhere.

Id add bigger turbines if it were me, sticking out the back or bolted onto the side

yea i had thought of adding 2 extra turbines of IG kits. ill do that today after my exam and post up some pics.

Very original! I think it would be worth figuring out how to use this one in-game. At the least, you could call it a Looted Wagon. If more ambitious, make your own rules, maybe using the rules for some other army's speeder as a starting point.

Would be a nice piece to tie into a battlewagon, use is as the cab or a weapon platform piece. That way it will look like the orks just grabbed the speeder they shot down and incorporated it wholesale into their own vehicle.
