O H I am in the Webway...

Well, I think that the Deffdread will be a Deaddread after a turn of IG shootng. I think it would be points better spent if you upgraded the nobz ride to a BW and dropped the dread. Other than that the Kommandos need burnas and thats about it.

He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster and if you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you

Yeah, I understand but at this time I only have one BW model. Although we don't play strictly WYSIWYG we try to stay within the limits of the appropriate model.

The Dred is supposed to be a target (which is all they've ever been for me). This list is really all about the Nobs and Burna Boyz. Any havoc the Buggies, Dred and Shoota boyz cause (or objective they hold) is a bonus.

I totally overlooked the Kommandos lack of Burnas so I'm trying to squeeze 30 points from somewhere else without losing Snikrot.

I hate to say it, but you need reinforced rams on those trukks. Rerolling DT tests is key.

PROSECUTOR: By now, there have been 34 casualties.

Thanks for pointing out some obvious stuff I should have seen. I guess I have to lose the Dred.

Not sure how you're coming across the board, but with the KFF, armor plates could be points spent elsewhere.

I like running Skorcha Trakks, but for same points a looted Kannon to help get the boys across?

I'm relooking at my current list and trying to squeeze a BW or 2 in there.

I'd love another BW but don't have the model yet. I thought about the Looted Wagon w/ Boom Gun but I'm looking for my Buggies to either draw fire (and allow something else some kills) or kill lots of IG models for a turn or two. Besides, that what the BW with Killkannon is for.

As far as the Armored Plates, I'm down to the nitty gritty with points and don't really have enough for a squad of grots or boyz so Armored Plates it is.

Of course I'm still open for any other ideas though.

I dont really see the point in using Big G and his whopping 200+ points if you have so few boyz.

Nice sounding list. Loving the burnyness of it!... your IG opponent is going to melt.

In terms of suggestions:

I would have to agree with this point. Against IG your normal boyz are going to be able to cleave through T3 and 5+ saves, Ghazghkull doesn't seem to add too much. Consider switching him for another big mekk with KFF or a normal warboss... the extra KFF means you aren't cramming a wagon 3 trukks and 3 skorchas into the confines a a single KFF --> it should be noted that tightly packed units will be an easy target for IG.

Also, as already noted, armor plates are not particularly useful for open topped vehicles... consider fitting our your trukks with reinforced rams instead... the rerolled dangerous terrain test seems more likely to get your boyz to the fight than armour plates.

As well, trukks seem too fragile to be fitted with boarding planks... I doubt any IG tank is going let you waltz on up and put a dint in it with your power klaw. Those trukks should be aiming for objectives... the shoota boys will be able to hold them whilst offering some fire support. Alternately if you want to aim them at the enemy put choppa boyz in them... close combat is the bane of guardsmens' existence.

I'm impressed with the burna boy squad... don't see enough of those... can picture a great deal of flaming corpses will be left in their wake.

Glad to see some special characters in there as well. Snikrot and his kommandos seem like an exceedingly killy bunch... however, rerolls to hit against guardsmen is great but most of your attacks will be hitting anyway with WS 5 vs 3.

Your list already has a great deal of burny, choppy and shooty stuff. Needless to say any IG infantry are going to die amazingly quickly... I think you should seriously consider taking some anti-tank weaponry --> IG have some of the best tanks our there after all. Perhaps boss zagstruck would be a good compromise? He will be just as likely to decimate your opponents back lines as snikrot with the added bonus of being able to overturn vehicles with ease. Four Str 9 attacks on the charge striking at initiate 3 will obliterate anything armoured as well as anything squishy. Being able to deep strike him and his krew and assault straight away means he is going to be carving up everything in sight the moment he enters play.

Lastly, if you're looking for something to distract the enemy consider taking deffkoptas instead of the dread (35pts + upgrades vs 75 pts + upgrades). Dreads may well be the target of a great deal of enemy fire... but they will die at the back of the scrum. A deffkopta is also likely to be targeted, but by using outflank he will be in the midst of your enemy dropping bomms or letting off rokkits when he gets zapped to pieces.

Feasting on the souls of unworthy opponents

If you're playing *strictly* against IG, Ghazghkull isn't needed. He's nice to take down terminator squads solo, pop battlewagons, that sort of thing. IG don't have that.

For IG, you want to get into assault as FAST as orkishly possible to avoid all that fire. Trukks, battlewagons, deffkoptas, stormboyz....proxy stormboyz if you don't have them.

You taking shooty boyz is going to be wasted on IG; you don't want to get into a shooting match, and you *do* need lots of anti-tank. Try brining a squad of tank bustas with 3 bomb squigs. Those bomb squigs run up and explode against the nearest vehicle. In fact, a squad of tank bustas in a battlewagon can multi-assault as many IG vehicles as you can string out, then drop tank busta bombs on them in the assault (6+2D6), you'll do some serious ownage.

O H I am in the Webway...

I don't think you have enough TBH. I saw a speedfreekz list up above and it had like 6 trukks and 3 BW's... Thats what counters IG! If you let them focus fire, with orders and using blobed BRING IT DOWN lascannon squads, they will take down your vehicles. Storm boyz and Kommandos with flamers are going to be the meat. They need Zagstruk and Snikgrot or w/e. I also don't think gazzy is that important in this list. I do think that brining a lot of un-upgraded stuff is though. If a good IG players wants to break your armor, he will. They have enough tanks to do so.

To my experience, having a sacrificial wave and your meat wave is how I get things done with IG. With my deathwing I throw a LR with Belial in it at them and they go OHHH ITS GOT THE LEEDER KEEL IT! Oops my other LR and 2 IST squads and a PAGK squad is right behind that and would LOVE to kill all of your exposed units. Oh you tried to kill my one landraider and now im in your face? GREAT!

This worked once where the LR took an ENOURMOUS amount of fire because of old smoke rules (only glances ) and ended up stunned and shaken a TON had a hurricane bolter blown off and it was immobilized. But it soaked up the WHOLE ARMIES shooting. I think this would work great with orks. Have your guys in waves, one wave gets hit and dies, the second is in the guys face and kills him. Yay. I think your first wave should have planks to bust X-ports for SURE so that the second wave can jump out and assault the squishy insides!

He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster and if you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you

Actually, I disagree on the wave assaults.

ork strength comes from a unified assault. If we're playing 2k points, BAM! My entire 2k points hits your front line at once. After the assault, I have 1800 points left, and you have 1k points left. =p

If you're going to do waves like that, use a unit of stormboyz. Skip them up turn 1 with their special 12" + D6 movement, then run them another D6....end up in cover, and you have an *obviously* threatening unit that is going to draw a lot of fire away from the rest of your army. I wouldn't waste more than a single stormboy squad on that though. Alternatively, drop a single trukk flat out 19" towards the enemy while everything else stays around the Mek with the KFF. Don't split your army though.
