I'm going to attempt to do some conversion work on the Game's Day Female Commissar figure. One thing I know I'll definitely do is change out her present pistol for a bolt pistol. I'm playing around with the idea of changing out her sword for a Power Fist or Chain sword... the sword she comes with doesn't seem GRIMDARK enough. I haven't any ideas on the base... I'm not even sure if I'll have her on a playable base or something for display purposes like a diorama. Here's the work I've done so far...

Going through some ideas for the Power Fist option. I was thinking of maybe using the Power Fist from the 'Commissar with Power Fist' model. I like the pose of the fingers, and how its huge but for an IG sized model. This would replace the pistol arm and will require some green stuff work. Plus I'll have to replace the opposite hand, the sword hand, as the bolt pistol hand. For that, I've thought of using the pistol hand from an 'IG commander with bolt pistol', or I could use one of the spare SM bolt pistols I have and just try to gs the hand holding it.

Aside from the PF and bolt pistol I'm thinking of going all out and giving her a camo cloak (I can give her jacket a camo paint job) and carapace armor (I can just green stuff it together or maybe borrow chunks from a Karskin). And lets not forget a melta bomb.

I may end up just buying a bunch of kits to see what bits I can play with. Some of the SM boxes have PFs plus they'll have other bits I can use for my Salamanders army. The Cadian/Catachan command squad boxes are another obvious thing I can go through... plenty of human sized bits for my Commissar.

Still not sure about the base/scenery yet. I may just purchase a Groundwerks base. They have a cool pack of three that resemble bullet/blast riddled pavement.

she is a very popular figure, I dont know why GW didnt made more of those or turned her into the regular line.

Funny to see this now... I just broke out my old female commissars to reconvert/repaint for a new IG army. I took the sword arm off one & replaced it with a power fist from the old plastic "close combat upgrade sprue" that GW sold in the 90's and added a SM shoulder pad. It was one of the first conversions I did, but I think it holds up (though, as you can see, I replaced the laspistol with a plasma pistol- I'd like to magnetize it with a bolt pistol option, but if that fails I'll go with just the bolt). The paint job's a bit rough, though- I'll need to fix their makeup

Believe it or not, I actually was considering it... I'm thinking with carapace armor she might be more covered up.

That is an awesome conversion. I love the PF. Maybe I'll hunt around for one of those sprues... actually it kind of looks like a terminator arm... maybe I could use that.

I think the new power fist from the IG HQ sprew would be more appropriate as it's less bulky which suits someone not wearing power armor.

I'm interested to see how this turns out. Luigi they look cool to me, the power fist is a simple but effective conversion.

I found this girl the other day and the first thing I thought was female commissar. Ok that was probably the second thing I thought but with a little converting she would be cool, and very dynamic.

The german woman looks like 28mm, but does not use the "heroic" scale 40k uses, so she would probably look too lanky and tall compared to your guardsmen. she's also not GW, which is totally irrelevant if you don't plan on using her in a tourney.
