I've been inspired for some time now by the Kommandos in barrels, piles of tires and hiding behind the picture of an Ultramarine, (If anyone has this image handy on their drive please post it), and have wanted ot make my own Kommandos in similar fashion. I have an abundance of imperial bits and lots of 55-gallon drums, wheels and the sort so decided to try my hand at it.

I was further inspired this morning in the shower when deciding what to do with a battle cannon I had cut up and decided not to use. This is the result.

I know the model is a bit tall for an Ork, by about a full head, but who said all orks are created equal. The next step is to melt the mould lines down the side of the cannon tube and prime it. I'll be posting these as I progress but want to note i'm doing this while trying to get my army ready for a tourney coming up, I still have a few Kan and a few Orks to paint for it.

Other origional ideas I had was an ork in a pile of discarded tank track links and in a cardboard box.

At any rate, without further adu, I give you an Ork Kommando hiding in a Battle Cannon Barrel.

I've done a little more work today and made anew Kommando, tho I'm not sure how crazy I am about him.

Firstly, yes, all of those track bits are the small 1 and 2 piece track bits off imperial tank sprues glued together and stacked in a tower. I only used 2 of the 4-track bits. It took a lot of glue to say the least

I also primed the Battle Cannon Kommando so we can see what he looks like without the ugly GS scattered about.

LOL man the battle cannon ork reminds me of a old rich guy in a top hat with a monicle ROFL give him a cane and ill literaly lol my pants and his casual strolling walk is classic
and idea for a kommando, you cud have a ork hiding behind a dead guardsman hes holding up as a disguise *even thou its like hiding behind a tiny tree*
