Here is my WIP Master of the Forge on jet bike. Its a techmarine in servo harness combined with a master of the ravenwing model, and is for use with a Dark Angel themed army (though using vanilla rules). He's there so I can use 6 dreadnoughts.

Just wanted to get suggestions on the model before I finished the contruction and moved onto painting. I'm pretty happy with how its looking at the moment, but and outside view on it would be great.

I'll be adding greenstuff arond the base of the servo arms at the back of the bike, as well as some tubing. Ill also obviously fill in the gaps between the arms and shoulders, and perhaps add a cloak down either side of his shoulders to his waist like on the master of the ravenwing model.

Here is the painting WIP.

It is pretty much done, just need to do his axe (thinking of a molten styled theme), the storm bolter (which has been removed to paint, but may be swapped with something else if I get the money for a space marine captain) and the two weapons on either side (plasma cutter and flamer). Theres also the servo skull going at the top of the eagle wings, itl be white as well. A few other bits to be touched up as well, but pretty much done. Im fairly happy with it, looks good at table level.

Thoughts on what to do with the axe? I feel the molten/magma theme would fit well with the 'master of the forge'.

Id say, lose the storm bolter and make a conversion beamer.

Looking good. Forgive my ignorance but where did that rather spiffing eagle-crested prow come from?

That is a pretty badass conversion youve got there. Nicely done for sure!

Sweet, steering will be kinda hard though with that sack of meat obscuring his view.

cool conversion!!

@keyasa- it looks like it is the ravenwing jetbike, so the prow is from sammael's bike.

haha yeah, but I did replace the eagle head on the front of the bike with a servo skull, so my theroy is that he can see via that >.> The bikes also kind of steering itself, with a servo arm actually holding the handlebars if you can see it in the 4th pic.

Id say, lose the storm bolter and make a conversion beamer.

Yeah I was thinking of doing one, but if I had I would probably have converted the plasma cannon on the front of the jetbike instead of removing it like I had. The conversion beamer is cool, I just kinda wanted to use him with the servo harness that you have to get rid of if you use the conversion beamer.

And yep, the bike is the master of the ravenwing bike, it already had the cool eagle on the front

Holy moly! So much going on with just one model. There's more activity on it than in a Slaaneshi toilet bowl after a right hard kegger.

That looks positively amazing, and the business of the model adds to the effect, very Adeptus Mechanicus!

An excellent conversion. The servitor wired into the jetbike is great. The only thing I don't like about it is the stormbolter which looks a little too large.

Thank you everyone for the positive comments. I think you are right about the storm bolter. Its from a vehicle kit, and I was trying to make him more imposing with a larger styled storm bolter, but perhaps it just doesnt work.

Ill have a look at the other options.

Fantastic work, I can't wait to see it painted up.

Well, Ive added more greenstuff to it and Im not that great at it, its a little rough, and lets hope that the painting can live up to what I attempted with the conversion. Id love to see what someone who knew what they were doing could do with these same 2 models.

I think the bolter looks pretty good... it fits the bulk of the bike.

I would have put the axe in a rack on the bike, so he can actually drive the thing. I don't know if it is just me, but the only time a CCW should be in the hands of a rider is if they are in a striking pose, or otherwise focused on the CCW (either gesturing with it, or hitting someone with it).

The storm bolter from the commander boxed set is a good choice, imho. It's smaller, but I personally like the clip more and the strap just looks cool.

That is a good idea. Its probably a far more dynamic looking weapon. The weapon is probably the easiest thing to swap out too. At worst Ill paint it up with this one and pick up one of those ones when I can. Thanks.

First let me say, nice work. Its a great idea. Im not to sure I like the servitor and book that are in his direct line of sight though, also the servo arm driving it should come from him somewhere not from the bike or at least add wires going from him to the bike(looks like he has no way to controll the speeding viecal he is on to me at the moment).

Okay I have an Idea to remake this. I took a quick look around in my extensive bitz and boxes and I dont actually have any of the models I would need to make this right now though. I have to go get an oder from the Chicago GW Bunker on monday or tuesday, so I will add the things I need to remake this converion per your challenge. Go look at my gallery and let me know if you think I might do a decent remake.

You have some awesomely converted marines, and are better with greenstuff than I am. I'm going to be having some wire/cable from him to the bike or something along those lines, though the servo arm driving it, but coming off him is a good idea.

Itl be cool to see what you come up with.
