Words: Hi There,
Forge World`s even more of a hive of activity than usual at the moment, and we`ve got loads of surprises on the way for you as well as the imminent arrival of our next Imperial Armour book. But first we have two great new transfer sheets for you, one for the Orks and the other for the Valkyrie and Vulture, as well as the first of what will be a fantastic new range of Forge World models for the Orks, our new Halftrakk kit.

Thanks
Alan Bligh

The Valkyrie sheet is a thing of beauty, though putting the transfers onto a model will probably be quite an ordeal. The ork sheet is technically less daunting, but very good value for money with all those tiny glyphs and the like, if that's the sort of thing you like.

I may just use the Valkyrie transfer sheet as a template to make a stencil ... that way I don't have the headache of trying to apply transfers over raised or recessed detail and I can make it look more realistic.

sigh ... just when I thought I'd be saving some money this month....

gonna have to get those valk decals, and that means I'm gonna have to get those cadian shotguns I've been thinking about.... and that means I'm gonna have to get that model masterclass book I've been wanting.... and that means I'll prolly have to get that vendetta upgrade too... seems like a waste to order just 1 little thing from FW...

The FW decal sheets so far have been great deals when it comes to content and diversity. I'm looking forward to the Valk sheets though I am indeed also afraid of applying them.

Look for this stuff called Micro Set and Micro Sol, it's funky smelly chemicals you can use to apply your decals so that it makes them conform to the corners and edges and bumps and wrap around stuff real good, gives it that painted on look One bottle is for painting on the area before the decal so it sticks better, and the other kind of melts the decal's plastic film a bit to make it real bendy, you paint that on over the decal after it's applied.

I really like how the valkyrie decals are all you need for 1 whole squadron I wish there was a closeup of what looks like teeny text, hopefully it's something like pilot's names and stuff like that.

Also, did you all notice the bottom of the Valkyrie decal page?

They show you how to trim them to make the best fit.

Wish forgeworld would stop putting those style wheels on ork vehicles, they looks like wooden wheels from the middle ages. Not good looking in the slightest. The tracks on the other hand look great, and the engine is pretty nice.

I. Can't. Wait. (for the next IA book, that is)

I really, really dig the engine and tracks on the half-track. Finally some decent suspension in tank treads! Now to muster up the patience to wait for the resin bits to be sold separately. Can't wait to see what else is in store for the greenskins!

The Valk decal kits are excellent, and the ork half track kit would be excellent to buy as a centrepiece for a KOS army.

God damn it, I just sold off all my Ork stuff. I was eagerly anticipating the trukk upgrades and consoled myself with the fact that they wouldn't be coming out for months anyway and by then I wouldn't care.

But I literally just got rid of everything, and now they put out the fething upgrades.

The Ork transfers actually look kinda cool. Good luck to anyone trying out the valkyrie transfers though, that looks like a real pain in the ass.

Whoa... that Valkyrie sheet is crazy-detailed. Quite daunting. Ork one is cool.

Half-Track is cool, but I want to see what FW has done with the Battlewagon. Are we getting the Supa-Lifta-Droppa and Pulsa Rokkit BW conversion kits that we saw in those sketches a while back?

The Ork Half Track is cool, but I'm a little disappointed because I was expecting them to basically release an Ork Trukk accessory kit that could be used to fully konvert one trukk and perhaps have some left over Gubbinz to add to more Trukks.

Why is it a full kit and not simply a resin conversion kit?

Half-track is fantastic. I've been converting a couple of my own Trukks recently with spare Battlewagon treads though, so I'm not sure what to do now!

The wheels on the Half Track might not be everyone's cup of tea. Personally I like them very much, however, and I guess that they are a nod to old time gamers like me. IIRC they look pretty much exactly like the front wheels of the (very) old Battle Wagon from GW.

That Halftrakk kit is win. I dig those old style wheels too. The price really isn't too bad for Forge World.

I don't really use decals that much, but those sheets certainly have a good selection. The nose-art decals on the Valkyrie sheet are a nice touch.

A good price too, under £6 for something that can detail three Valkyries to a very nice standard, with enough decals left over to do nose arts for another squadron.

The supply does not get to make the demands.

What did FW do for the truck? It appears to be an engine and half tracks is the only change.

This is pretty irritating that they couldn't include one set on the Valk transfer sheet in the box, *especially* as they raised the price from $50 to $58.

You ought to know by now that FW does the cool stuff we all want but almost never get through GW.
