I agree! After seeing this I think that I'll buy a bastion myself too.

Just ordered a couple bastions

Quick question, how many bastions did you need to make this bastion of death?

Keep it up.

So far this is 3 bastion kits( two make the lower level, then one for the top i also have a bunker made from the base of the third one(not shown)

The main plan involves four more bastions set up like castle towers around this and low walls set up in between them

I guess you could do similar thing one level lower with only 2 bastions Not as imposing but probably will do. I think the bastion kits have so much options for convos that its going to be hard to pick just one idea.

The problem with doin two bastions this wide is you will need anothe floor set, or some plastic card to fill the gap(2 floor tiles for each bastion and the tiles go together in halves making one bastion floor)

I see, thanks for the tip, I guess I can manage a floor with some plasticard, also I was thinking using the couple defense lines I ordered with the bastions as extra top level walls If I decide to streetch the convo even further ( the bastion convo at GW site used them If I recall correctly, and they had a customed made bunker as a floor to solve the lack of floors problems).

Funny you said castle, when I saw your convo it was the first thing that poped up in my mind.

Very inspiring project you have here, I will follow it with much attention.

Versteckt in den Schatten deines Geistes.

Interesting.

This is what I had planned for one of my Bastions, except the 'tower' would be in the middle, rather than one end.

One question though - I see a lot of plasticard in there. Did you have to use that, or was that done by choice?

My Bastion network will be similar to yours - one big fortress-y thing, four regular Bastions, two low-bunkers (thanks to leftover walls) and then two of those double-high ones with the small bunker coming off the side.

Yes, I bought 11 Bastions to do all this.

And thanks for the idea with the Missile Launchers. They're Land Speeder Typhoon launchers right? I hope so, as I have four of those spare.

Actually, one other quick question. This gap in the floorsL

... anything that can be done with that inside the kit, or is that just what you get?

Yes thats plastic card that i used but i was filling gaps from the added city of death tile, i used dozer blades on either side so i had a few gaps.

The holes in the floor is actually filled by a couple of pieces that come in the box set, so no worries.

you get two small spacer pieces with the kit. The instructions dont show what to do with them but they are in there. Great project!!

It's great to see people building these scenery pieces, I'm really tempted to get one of the landing pads, they look great.

once painted that is going to rule everything to the infinity of ever, does it have a main gun or just lots of firepoints?

Just a man, standing in front of a paint pot, trying to remeber if I rinsed boltgun metal in it.

Now, while the combination of the number 11 and the words bought and bastions in one of your posts doesnt really surprise me, I do demand pictures of this.

BTT: Epic build. I really like what youve done with the place

I love the ambition!

I've been bragging about plans to make a Leviathan out of Baneblade and bastion kits. Too much cool projects to do, too little time.

You've found a practical way to make a Leviathan out of existing plastic kits. I hereby dub this conversion always and for all time: the fire4effekt pattern leviathan.

Anyway, with that kind of modeling you're sure inviting comments like "What a huge plasma megablaster you have there".
