I am starting to make a rogue tau army who have fallen into the Emperor's guiding light(more fluff to come), what should be their color scheme?

Well rouge is red in French haha so it seems fitting. I assume you meant "Rogue" though?
In which case, even better, the rogue commander farsight is traditionally red

Well, Rouge, obviously. 
Well, I think that the Tau of a ROGUE army under the control of the Emperor should look good in any of the main Space Marine chapter colors. Do you have some Imperial allies for them, or will you be playing alongside friends with Space Marine or guard armies? If so, I might choose one of their color schemes so that if you Apocalypse together it looks unified.

That colour scheme looks too T'au like. If they're to be Imperial T'au (would like to red the fluff on that one) then maybe have them quite dull colours

If you need to justify the fluff, say that they are mercenaries. The Imperium is fine with hiring aliens as mercenaries, like Blood Axe Orks and Eldar pirates. I don't see why they wouldn't hire rogue Tau.

Make them Mercenaries. Exiles for not following the greater good. That way you can field them in large scale battles on either Order or Disorder.

Are you making it a tau army as far as the rules go?
You could paint them like cadian colors and order bitz for cadian chest armor from one of the bitz sites and use those instead of tau chest bitz., and then give them lasguns and run use imperial guard rules for em, and of course have a commissar in every unit to make sure they don't stray from their new path. Maybe run em as a vet army since they normally have bs4 anyway, right?

The Imperium would still try to kill them, whether they worship the Emperor or not. As well, by official rules, they wouldn't be ablee to be fielded as Imperial allies in a multiplayer battle.
Unofficially though (And I hate official junk anyway. More power to the players!), this is pretty cool. Not going to deny that. But they definately need some Imperialization to them. Tau as they are just aren't GRIMDARK enough. Maybe give them all various pieces of Imperial Kit.
