Here is the start of some of my Tyranid pictures...these are the only two I have photographed as of right now, but I will try and get the whole army on display if i can....

May I suggest that you increase the number of lights that you have around your models when you take pictures? It will really help bring out more details

I completely agree with the tips on lighting, this is the first ever time i have tried to photograph my models, so i will keep practicing on getting the lighting right so you can see the subtleties in the tones....I tried to show a featurless horde of claws and plates when painting my tyranids, and it looks awesome when they are all grouped together....a featureless mass of screaming horror charging across the field at you!

I will post some more when i get home from work!

I think i've established why i dislike the colours.
Brown and green work very well together
brown and flesh work very well together
but flesh and green or brown and black dont work particularly well, so it seems your army has two colour schemes on one model.

Other than this the black isnt executed particularly well, it just looks like its been left at the primer stage.

I suspect that the pictures arent helping here, but the black is actually dark brown...the first photo is closest to what the models actually look like in proper light...but hey, can't please everyone! Thank you for your comments! ill be posting more of my other armies as I get better at this whole photo malarky, but improvements are also always welcome...!

I think Im with corpsesarefun. You paint really well, but Im not sure if the green goes with the rest... but then I think it looks great. Im confused lol

I like these a lot. just find a window, use the light nature provides! then dont use flash. its evil. but the painting is great!

I like. The pink does look a bit bright, though.

Pretty nice, though I do think a lighter skin-color to contrast the dark carapace would complement the colors better. The dark brown carapace looks very good though. Your flyrant reminds me of one of the monsters from Pitch Black.

Lose the green and do the heads pink and they will be perfect...

Wow! Those models look excellent and the wings look fabulous. Did you make them yourself or did you get them at forge world?
