I'm still practising on the models In the AOBR set, I originally set out to do Bad Moons but after some research and my terrble painting of yellow I decided to go with Death Skulls, the blue is a little bright since I only have one blue and thats enchanted! but eventually I'll start of with Mordian Blue or something.

Might not be what you're looking for with Death Skulls, but Enchanted Blue has to be one of my absolute favorite shades from the Citadel range of paints. After taking a look at this, I kinda want to make my randomly painted Orks into Death Skulls.

May i suggest some blue warpaint, IE: striping, on the arms?

If I have one thing to suggest, you could just take some more time to remove the mould lines before painting your models...

Thanks for the replys guys, seems people like the blue so It may stay after all. The skin tone was achieved by Undercoating the model black then putting a thinned basecoat of goblin green on the top, apply some home made black wash over the skin, then apply another thinned down goblin green while leaving the black in the deapest recesses's. For highlights it was a case of 50% goblin green and 50% sunburst yellow followed another highlight of 50% goblin green and 60% sunburst yellow and finally 70% sunburst yellow.

I've just spotted the mold lines, originally I used a craft knife to clean some of the mold lines, I'm going to get some moe paints and tools next month and among those on the list are some needle files and a pin vice so I can drill out the barrels!

Good stuff, blue is possibly a bit too bright on the bottom models, but regardless, they look pretty Orky!

Well, there's no point in thinking it's too bright, to an Ork mind...

Very bright, clean painting, but you definitely need more blue for Death Skulls.

Wow, these look great! The skin is bright (since you're using goblin green to start with!) but it looks nice and vibrant . The bright skin and bright blue actually work well together! But if you do decide to go for a darker blue, you might want to go for a darker skin color to match, too! (or just continue as you are for both, since they look great )

Taking a look back at the models I think I will stick with the color scheme, I'm going to start painting some Stormboyz up tonight in the same scheme will post pics in few days or so!

Enchanted Blue probably is a bit to bright for the death skulls, but from what im seeing it works. keep it up.

Amazing. Don't change the blue paint, just add some blue and black wash if you want to tone it down. But you already knew that.
