So today I started work on the HMS Medusa. The keel was built then the super structure, I have alot of work and detailing to be done, but here it is so far. The deck is removable for amphibious assault craft and the gun that is in place now is a place holder until i design the real turret. I hope these pictures show the scale of the command ship.

Lookin good,, but I would suggest a bigger front turret, mabey a baneblade turret?

Seems that's the plan.

Looks awesome, btw, is it supposed to be aquatic or is it meant to be a potential flying carrier?

But seriously looking good so far, my only comment would be that the prow looks almost to sleek for an imperial vehicle but I can't say thats a fair appraisal this early in the project. Idea! You might consider modeling the prow after imperial BFG ships or ironclad vessels for that imperial-gothic flavor.

i have always wondered how the imperial guard deal with marine and amphibious terrain? space marines can just march into the water but I DEMAND FLUFF OF IMPERIAL OCEAN SHIPS! pls if anyone can find?


anywho awsome idea too and have sum guardsmen with the flags or something like they are directing the valks

would also make epic terrain of a dried up ocean and the wrecked gak as the main part of the terrain, and its all deserty and the ships rusted

That looks amazing, I never would have thought to build something like that for my IG army.

That's pretty much most coolest thing you can have Valkyrie on top of.

I'd say a hydra turret might work, looks awesome!

Looks great, I kind of agree with the Baneblade turret idea, but it would need to be built up some to make it look more like a naval turret. Or an alternative could be something along the lines of dual Earthshakers in a turret, I think that would be more naval looking if you could get the turret design right for it. And for the prow i like the BFG idea, it makes sense that the naval fleet would resemble the space fleet to an extent. Keep up the good work.

Yes, a big fancy armoured and decorated prow would look very cool and fluffy. Building it might not be so easy though - although would a giant rivet-covered Aquila eagle be that difficult?
