There is a new miniatures company called Mantic making very cool Elf miniatures.

Wayland Games, a supporter of Dakka, was previously giving away these models along with every purchase, but they've now expanded the offer to give away these models without having to order anything!

I think it's great they're giving people a chance to see these up close and personal to help suport a new company. Hoping to see more in the mantic range soon too as the pictures on the net show some high quality attention in the sculpting.

please make sure your addresses dont have to be reformatted in anyway to print on a label.. it saves us lots of time.

I'm shocked to see a startup coming out in plastics. The small pictures on their website look nice too. Larger pictures would really help though.

Mantic's models make for absolutely stunning Elves.

Though, I'll admit, I won't be supporting them unless they expand the range.

I wasnt taking it seriously btw..

We are getting lots of emails regarding the samples so its just a case of not being able to answer that many mails with personal responses.

Sent my request. The pics look good and I am really curious as to what they are actually like. Once I get a job again I'll be sure to hit wayland and maybe start something elf related. Or otherwise if they expand.
edit: Just read through all of the item descriptions and they come with their own case and foam. Now I really hope they expand and take off, that combined with pretty good prices make for a great value.

There should be a thread for reviewing the minis, I'm keen to see how these are being viewed.

I've been buying wraithguard cheaper on wayland games over the past couple of months than i can get second hand on ebay.

The mantic miniatures themselves (at least the ones i have) have the bases already modelled onto the figure.

They look fairly good. Do they only do elves? Wish they had more art to go with them also. I've only seen one picture thus far.

They have only just started, they are doing elves first and then will be moving onto undead.

I got a reply to my email shortly after it was sent.

Seems theyre getting these elves out to people faster than the item that was missing from my order that I let them know about last week...

On the whole the models are nice, and looking at mantics site they come with their own carry case as packaging. Personal preferance on my part is "not keen, but I think they'll grow on me" due to the look of the elves themselves is all, part of their fluff might be that stiff winds break them at the waist they're that slender
Undead next though? Now that I will keeping an eye open for as I used to have a huge undead army and feel like a trip down memory lane

Hi Vermillion, Im not sure what the issue was.. items part shipped or just an itema packer had omitted could you let me know and I'll have a look.
