Has anyone ever wanted to see a whole army full of Carmine clones (Grunt Guardsmen) supported by heavy King Raven support (Valkyries) and Centurion heavy tanks (Leman Russes)?
Well I am setting sail for just such a force. It's going to be a slow process, especially because of the level of conversion for each model.
The base conversion is Catachan legs (greaves sculpted on), Catachan bodies (armor sculpted on), Cadian Arms (small sculpting work), Cadian heads (helmet sculpted), with regular Cadian lasguns and Cadian chainswords attached to make the bayonet.
But I know you all just want to see the starting models, so here you go!
Carmine (the actual Anthony Carmine. I had to start with his model, because he's my favorite video game character in a while)
Hope you like him. I have 4 other guys in progress, one with a flamer (Gears style). I've also worked on the chainsaw bayonet and have come up with a cooler, easier way to achieve the look I want.
C&C's as always

That look spretty friggin awsome. To think, once you've practiced this on an army, how good you'll be...

When you call an intimate moment with your partner "the Assault Phase"
Is that followed by a pile-in move?
That brings a whole new meaning to the term "Hit and Run"
Can that be following a deep strike, or do you have to wait until the next round? |

Possible Baneblade/Other Heavy tank
Definite Leman Russ
Those are my current ideas for land vehicles in the army. According to the books and background, the COG had a lot more heavy vehicles and artillery during the Pendulum Wars, so I'll also be taking existing IG tanks and making them a bit more Gears-ified to compensate for the heavy cavalry.

That's a GOG Tag. Open your eyez, NOOB!
Very cool, but very time consuming. There might be a better (but more expensive) option:

Thanks for all the positive feedback!
Very cool, but very time consuming.
It is a bit of a time consumer, but I work in batches (ie. 4 legs at the same time, 5 head conversions) and the arms and shoulder pads are very quick and simple. The chest is probably the hardest bit, and I'm currently looking for an alternative (possibly sculpts).
wow. this is creepy, because the moment before reading this i was thinking about doing a locust themed army.
Lol! I have thought about converting some locusts for some cool conversions with chainsaw duels and kills.
still, these models are fantastic. ever thought about casting any?
Thanks! The thought crossed my mind, but I need to get some ace sculpts done first for something like that. Any recommendations on sculpts? Or just the generic GS method?
As far as objective markers go, I'm thinking of fallen gears and some COG tags, maybe even a Resonator? (Hoffman: THATS WHY WE NEED THE RESONATOR!)
Also for bases, I'm going to some really urban schemes, some mechanical stuff using a lot of cog and gear designs, and some immulsion even for some.
The commanding officer will be Hoffman using Iron Hand Straken rules. I'm also considering a model of Chairman Prescott for a Master of the Ordinance. Calling in all those beautiful Hammer of Dawn strikes
Keep the questions and comments coming!

Any chance we could get a pre-painted shot of the models? I've started something similar (in power armour) and would like to see your models before i decide on the next steps.
Cheers
