Hello there! Just joined Dakka so I thought I would show you a peak at what I play, Black Templars as you will find out by looking at the pictures. So let me know what you think! Oh and some of the models are still in the process of being painted, like the champion and the dread, which I just painted up alittle more on the dread today and worked a small bit on the champion and swapped out heads on the marshal. I will get new pics up soon of those guys!

ordered it from FW, ive noticed that FW takes their time when it comes to shipping your order though. If you do order, takes like 2.5-3.5 weeks sometimes

some stores will order for you, but then you might as well just order it yourself, as far as stateside none that I know of and I think you just have to order from their website. Its no diferent then ordering from the GW online store.

Here are some more pictures, the army shot is about a year old now, theres a bit more added on since then, vindicator some more forgeworld stuff and a baneblade as well.

Thats one sweet dread, also love the conversion work you've done, especially your banner bearer. Keep it up

Do you play them as Templars? If so you can't have a plasma cannon on the dread... Ace looking Templars though! I have a successor chapter of them.

Yeah I run them as templars, I know about the plasma cannon lol, right now I use it as a lascannon if someone doesnt want to use it as a plasma, which I fully understand but most of the time I play a nice friendly games where they let me use it. I also have an assault cannon arm but his body falls over because its not as heavy as the PC.

Ok lol as long as you've got your opponents concent.

Very nice looking man. I think your black could use a few more highlights in places, but otherwise these are great!

looks really good! i also play BT, and i know that highlighting black armour is a pain in the butt cause no matter what you do it always seems to look like it needs more... i sympathizes. however, i think they look crisp and clean which is A-Ok in my book. one suggestion is to highlight the gold bits. it is a small thing but i find that flat gold metallic paint looks funny. a quick drybrush with mythil silver is perfect for this. just enough to catch the raised edges and you are good to go!

Thank you all for your input! As far as highlighting black, yes Kukuchik you feel my pain lol, black is not easy, all the other colors have it so easy for highlighting, but black has always left me a bit wondering if they need more highlighting, or less, ive done it all with black. Drybrush greys, tripple hightlights and simple shadow grey and codex grey. But! Shadow grey with a codex grey seems to be my best bet now.

Heres another update on my templar army, this time its about one year from my first full army picture, you might see some slight growth in the marines. Yet once again I have some that couldnt be in the picture. They are another 10 man assault squad, and 20 other marines along with a tech marine and about 15 more neophytes and 1 more landspeeder. I put in the side of the baneblade because thats all I have done with it so far. Anyways! Here you go yet again.
