Feasting on the souls of unworthy opponents

Lets see...

You have an element of a foot-slogging army list. Half of them are shooty and half of them are not. You have an element of a speed freak list (if you want to classify bikers as such) which the DeffKoptas fit into. And you have a battlewagon with nobs in it, which fits an element of a Mechanized assault list.

Any of those three kinds of Ork armies is extremely potent. However, you didn't build an army, you built a random collection of units that don't really complement each other.

With that criticism out of the way, I'll tell you this:

1. If you're working with all the models you have, so be it. Max your boyz units out to 30 each. If you have one less troop choice as a result, so be it.

2. Take the buzzsaws off the Deffkoptas; paying the cost of a powerklaw (25 points) to get a str7 attack on the charge is neither impressive nor fearsome, and I can think of just about anything to do with those 200 points besides wasting them on your deffkoptas.

3. I think your HQ needs work, and it ties into your battlewagon. If you just freed up 200 points, freakin' take Ghazghkull Thraka. Boyz can kill space marines with their 2+ saves alright. Ghazghkull can single-handedly annihilate anything. Take out the warboss, and stick in Ghazghkull; put him into the battlewagon with the nobs, and give the nobs different equipment for wound allocation magic. Now, when you charge, you can break off Ghazghkull to kill a whole unit of terminators by himself (or a dreadnought, or a land raider, or anything else) while his nobs (which should have 'Eavy armor and a couple of Powerklaws) mix it up with something else.

4. Nob bikers are really expensive and inefficient; you can replicate everything that they can do by sticking a unit of nobs in a trukk or a battlewagon, and do it cheaper. It'll draw anti-tank fire, but if you only have one vehicle...do this: 10 nobs in your battlewagon along with Ghazghkull and a Mek with a KFF. Your AV14 front armor battlewagon now has a 4+ cover save. If you do the math, the chances of a lascannon putting you down are less than 3% per shot statistically.

5. Speaking of your battlewagon, lose the 'ard case and grot riggers; give the Mek with the KFF grot oilers for rerolls on his fixing rolls if you need, but his Mek tools can fix your battlewagon if a lucky shot weapon destroys or immobilizes you.

Without knowing if you have more models, its difficult to give better advice, but you should really fill your units out to maximum size. A single template can take down a couple of nob bikers, and when you already only have 5 of them, causing leadership isn't that hard. Play my Tau and I'm going to drop a couple markerlights on them, smack you with a couple of railguns (since my anti-tank can wait a turn to deal with your only vehicle), make them take a leadership test (7 at this point), and use my markerlights to give you -leadership. Orks have weak leadership - don't put yourself in a position to suffer for it.

10 Gretchin - w/ 1 Runtherder
Fast Attack
9 Deffkoptas
9 Bikers(Nob, I didnt know if their elites or fast attack)w/ 1 Kombi-Rokkit, 2 Kombi-Scorcha, 2 BC, 2 PK, 1 Waaagh banner, 1 BP

Battlewagon
5 Flashgits w/ Kaptian Badrukk
and 2 Trukks thrown in somewhere

I understand what your saying about focussing on one aspect of the Ork army possibilities but I think im limited, at the moment at least, when it comes to 1500 and above. If you can find a better combination from what I have by all means tell me cause frankly im still very new at warhammer. That being said ill try and remember the leadership tests

Downunder

Basic rule for Ork units and leadership: Take at least 11 in the unit and preferably max models.

Ignore the Flashgitz and Badrukk, they're not worth taking as an anti-infantry weapons team that costs 40 points per BS 2 Model to compete against Devastators, Tau or Dark Reapers.

You could take the trukks and Battlewagon as mechanized Spearhead with three nob squads (have a few boyz stand-in for Nobz or something) and have 90 Shoota Boyz advancing behind them for cover while the KFF keeps the Trukks going for a bit, Warboss rides in a Battlewagon of course, with the Painboy. not sure on the points for that, but I saw something like that recently and it worked nicely.

Also littlenibbler Orks aren't about armour saves.
Orks are about having too many models on the table, and wasting the other guy's time with your movement phase.
Orks are about having the toughest units on the table.
Orks are about not caring about how many bodies are left in a long winding trail until the squad is down to less than a third its starting strength.
Orks are about rolling more dice then you can count without the aid of a calculator or a pen and paper.
Orks are about having totally fething insane characters tearing gak down like Doc Grotsnik, Ghazghkull or Snikrot.
Orks are about being too fething awesome to die...
Lets settle this in the arena http://pantsformer.mybrute.com

Nice I should of tried that, I will next time. Last night I changed the list a little based on dashofpeppers comments but ended up getting caught on a bad move between the Chaos and the SM so it ended up being the worlds largest bar room brawl just a huge meele mess, i think at the peak like 2 tacticals a termie squad 3 boyz squads 8 beserkers, 1 choas marine tac, a demon prince and a warboss on a bike. Total chaos!

Three men can keep a secret, if two of them are dead.
