Please tell me you're being sarcastic when you say you don't know what they will be used for (its hard to tell in text!)? *cough* thunderwolves *cough*
But yeah, very nice looking models...

I like my wolves with bodies too. Refuse to make a judgement based on the head alone, especially as the wolf appears to be wearing armour like of those crazy armoured bears in Northern Lights (Golden Compass to the Americans).

I say the head looks nice but I have to wait and see just how big it is. Goblins ride 'Giant Wolves' you know. But a good looking model so far and it will give Goblins, Vamps, and Chaos some other options on hound models.

I also hear Forge World is releasing Dark Eldar models.
Seriously though, what makes you think that? Forge World says they're working on a Space Wolf Dreadnought, they've said nothing about thunderwolves. Just because they did some bikers? I'll believe it when I see some WIP pics...
Anyway, what is it with GW and dogs, anyway? The goblin mounts are the only half-decent wolves in the entire catalog, it looks to me like they simply can't sculpt a wolf to save their lives. Jes probably could, but he can't sculpt everything.

Hasnt Jes Goodwin been "working" on new Dark eldar models since about 1972? I may have gotten the date wrong but it seems like thats the excuse that is given EVERY single year
2003
"YAY DE are soon!!! Jes Goodwin is working on models.. and theyre doing a codex"
2004
"YAY DE are soon!!! Jes Goodwin is working on models.. and theyre doing a codex"
2005
"Oh DE are getting a new codex for 4th edition.. didnt you hear JES GOODWIN is working on models?
2006
"Eldar got a new codex with Jes goodwin models.. Hes using them as a base for the NEW DE models hes working on!!
2007
"There was a problem with manufacturing but Jes Goodwin got finished with the new JETBIKE models!! they're awesome and should be out soon
2008
"Oh its only the recession.. they need to make marine models but jes goodwin is really really working on DE models"
2009
"End of 2010 is when DE will hit because Jes Goodwin has models DONE and theyre kick ass.. but FW may produce them instead"
2010
"So a Dark Eldar, a dogs of war and a squat walk into a bar..."

Except Jes himself said he was working on Dark Eldar plastics in the short-lived GW podcast where Jervis interviewed him. There's the difference.
In case anyone else was wondering, no, I didn't hear gak about FW making DE models. I was just showing you how unbelievably easy it is to pull this crap out of your ass and how easily some people will buy it.

There is a difference between "working on" and "having any realistic expectation of a release any time soon"
Oil companies have been "developing" alternative fuel for a very very very long time so they say :p

Yeah, I think it's bs too, but when the man himself says he's working on it you can't help but feel a little false hope.
I'm getting pretty tired of waiting, I want fething confirmation. I don't want to be strung along for another ten years, like you demonstrated in your other post, lol...

More importantly than whether or not FW is working on thunderwolves,
WHY ISN'T GW WORKING ON THUNDERWOLVES?!?!
A FW kit is not a kit. It's a ridiculously overpriced figurine. I still say there is no kit until GW produces it themselves.

Now that is a good looking wolf. I perosnally think it is a bit small to count as a Thunderwolf but there are plenty of other uses for them.

A bit small? a marine is 8 feet tall, that wolf is tall than that marine
Thus that wolf > 8 feet tall.. Last time I checked that qualifies for 'a big wolf"
Hell even a horse isnt that tall and if you merge a horse with a huge wolf youd get something Im sure would satisify the thunderwolf requirement
(Or get you thrown in jail for genetic eningeering when you try to ride your new Horwolf)
