While in my epic travels, and current ability...Came across what looks to be an orc bastion made out of an Stompa... I wish I could take any credit but I found it in GW store in Seville, Spain
I think it will give me some ideas on how to make one similar for my own

I never thought to turn one upside down like that. I merely wrecked a Stompa for store terrain, taking off the chainsaw arm, most of the head, but trying to flatten out the shoulders and what not as much as I could so you can have guys up there. Based it in a crater as well, as those make a nice solid support for something like this.

Make one out of a plastic coffe can. My buddy made me a cool ork hut out of one but it could be cut apart to make that. I think I will book mark this for inspiration.

Coolest Bastion Ever! I've seen Ork Bastions made out of the Imperial Versions but this is soo much cooler. I love the way it's been built in a crater. Looks like it's just been shot out a cannon from an Ork Ship.

That's a big bowl of snazz, right there. I know what I'm doing if I ever find a cheap stompa torso...

I think that guy was trying to build a drop bastion (a stratagem in Planetstrike). I guess he modeled it like a stompa was drop from the sky and crash on its head and his now used as a bastion (hence the crater and the fact that it's a stompa).
Pure genius!
