So I feel this may be out of the norm for this forum, but I don;t think that what I'm about to show you constitutes as off topic. I am using GW bits here, after all.

As any nerd would, I've been searching for way to express my inner WH40K fanboy, but have been disapointed. It seems that there is little in the way of apparel for one's person. In my search I stumbled across something called warp Artefacts, which to my understanding was a GW subsidiary that made the sort of products I had been seeking. This shop however, is now defunct.

As such, I've done what any hobbyist would, and decided to make it myself! Below are the first in a line of WH40K inspired accessories.

Starting small, I decided I would make necklaces. They are easy to do, cheap, and not very time consuming.

First up is the Imperial Aquilla necklace. I drilled a small hole through the wing and made a look from aluminum wire. The Aquilla is from the metal bitz back from GW. I plan on getting Imperial Guard dogtags made to enhance the look. I say enhance because the aquilla is much smaller than my estimation. It looks a little sparse hanging around my neck.

This is the prototype Khornate necklace. I say prototype becuase I'm not exactly happy with it. I'd like to get the Forgeworld Khorne Brass Etch set, and a chain like this one. I also want to use brass wire.

The next project I plan to take on is a ring. I'm going to solder another Aquilla to a stainless steel band. I just need to pick up some soldering supplies and the ring itself.

I think it'd be quite reasonable for guardsmen to wear dogtags that have an imperial eagle on them. Looking good.

@krusty: In my search, I came across your necklace. I liked it, and I have to admit, I copied your technique for mounting it.

Nice

A little while ago I found a tyranid earring. That was pretty cool. Having a guant hanging from your ear. Maybe try something like that.

You realize that this would be classified as Copyright infringement if you paid him for it, right? Endova, selling these items without GW's consent can get you sued. Badly. They're very nice, but if I were you I'd save them for stocking stuffers for other 40K players in your life.

I'm certainly considering doing some of the other Chaos Icons. Probably Ork Glyphs, and Inquisition themed pieces. All for my own, personal collection, of course.

@Grimm: I've seen those. I think figurines could be cool, but it's not really what I want to do. I don't really want to do plastic. Just feels too much like costume jewelry.
