Or a similar Warlord Games model stood nex to a similar GW model (like a catachan or something non-armoured). Pictures would be greatly appreciated!
You can prolly guess why I ask...

Ive seen them in the LGS. GW's guys are larger in dimention and they don't look like they mix well. Kinda like the 1/48- 28 mm comparison, but backwards. GW's guys seem larger in thier proportions then the Warlord guys do.

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money. |

The Warlord stuff is fine in height compared to GW.
But weapons, hands, and heads are more truly-scaled.
Mixing and matching will not work well, but an army built of Warlord minis would look great.
Using GW Monsters can still work though.
I will try to get a pic of the ones I have in comparison. Automatically Appended Next Post: I was wrong. They are a bit shorter as well.

Not as bulky, but I'd say on even footing they're pretty comparable.

No madam, 40,000 is the year that this game is set in. Not how much it costs. Though you may have a point. - GW Fulchester

Excellent and thanks for the photos!
So I could use them instead of the marauders and keep the warriors, perhaps ebay them or something.

But... but... Marauders are awesome.
Why you do this?
|
People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made. |

If you measure those picks sole to eye, the first Marauder is 70mm, so is the metal bloke. The plastic bloke a a couple of mm shorter but he is bent forwards.
The Marauder in all the armour is more like 75mm however he clearly doesn't have much head above his eyes.
I would say they are pretty similar in terms of height. The GW heads and arms are clearly exaggerated in size.

I love those Celts. Someday, when my backlog is cleared, I'm buying a whole bunch of them.

Yeah, I was watching a movie called Pathfinder (which, whilst terrible is very visually cool) and the vikings in it are virtually chaos marauders, so it got me thinking about historical plastics as suitable stand ins.
The price is most definately right as well.
